LOCKING AND UNLOCKING
You can use the power door lock controlor the remote control to lock and unlockyour vehicle.
See Tailgate Lock (page 70).
Power Door Locks (If Equipped)
The power door lock control is on the driverand front passenger door panels.

You can use the remote control at any timeyour vehicle is not running.
Unlocking the Vehicle (Two-StageUnlock)
Press the button to unlock thedriver door. Press the buttonagain within three seconds tounlock all doors. The direction indicatorsflash.
Press and hold both the lock and unlockbuttons on the remote control for fourseconds to disable or enable two-stageunlocking. Disabling two-stage unlockingallows your entire vehicle to unlock withone press of the button. The directionindicators flash twice to indicate a changeto the unlocking mode. The unlockingmode applies to the remote control andkeyless entry keypad.
Intelligent access at the driver door willunlock your entire vehicle when you disabletwo-stage unlocking.
Locking the Vehicle
Press the button to lock alldoors. The direction indicatorsflash.
Press the button again within threeseconds to confirm that all the doors areclosed. The doors lock again, the hornsounds and the direction indicators flashif all the doors are closed.
Mislock
If any door is open, or if the hood is openon vehicles with an anti-theft alarm orremote start, the horn will sound twice andthe direction indicators will not flash.
Activating Intelligent Access (If
Equipped)
General Information
You can unlock and lock the vehiclewithout taking the keys out of your pocketor purse when your intelligent access keyis within 3 ft (1 m) of your vehicle.Intelligent access uses a sensor on theback of the door handle for unlocking anda separate sensor on the face of each doorhandle for locking.

2. Remove the tray and the cover fromthe center console. With the buttonsfacing upward, place the first intelligentaccess key in the backup slot.
3. Press the push button ignition switch.
4. Wait five seconds and then press thepush button ignition switch again.
5. Remove the intelligent access key.
6. Within 10 seconds, place a secondprogrammed intelligent access key inthe backup slot and press the pushbutton ignition switch.
7. Wait five seconds and then press thepush button ignition switch again.
8. Remove the intelligent access key.
9. Wait five seconds, then place theunprogrammed intelligent access keyin the backup slot and press the pushbutton ignition switch.
Programming is now complete. Check thatthe remote control functions operate andyour vehicle starts with the new intelligentaccess key.
If programming was unsuccessful, wait 10seconds and repeat steps 1 through 7. Ifyou are still unsuccessful, take your vehicleto your authorized dealer.
ANTI-THEFT ALARM (If Equipped)
The active anti-theft system is designedto warn you in the event of unauthorizedvehicle entry and is also designed to helpprevent unwanted towing of your vehicle.You can choose what is monitored byarming the system in different ways. SeeInformation Displays (page 111).
The direction indicators flash and the hornsounds if the system triggers while thealarm is armed.
Take all remote controls to an authorizeddealer if there is any potential alarmproblem with your vehicle.
Reduced Guard (If Equipped)
To monitor the following:
•Doors.
•Hood.
•Tailgate.
Lock your vehicle using the key in the driverdoor lock cylinder.
Full Guard (If Equipped)

When the automatic control has activatedthe high beams, pushing or pulling the stalkwill provide a temporary override to lowbeam.
Use the information display menu topermanently deactivate the system, or turnthe lighting control switch from autolampsto headlamps.
FRONT FOG LAMPS (If Equipped)
Press the control to switch the fog lampson or off.
You can switch the fog lamps on when thelighting control is in any position exceptOff and the high beams are not on.
DIRECTION INDICATORS
•To operate the left direction indicator,push the lever down until it stops.
•To operate the right direction indicator,push the lever up until it stops.
Note:Tap the lever up or down to make thedirection indicators flash three times.
SPOT LAMPS (If Equipped)
The spot lamps are positioned on theforward-facing side of the exterior mirrors.When the parking lamps are on due to thelighting control switch being in the parkinglamps, headlamps, or autolamps position,press the buttons located above thelighting control switch to activate theleft-hand or right-hand side spot lamps.
Once switched on, the spot lamps light thearea in front of and to the side of yourvehicle.
Adjust the aim of the spot lamps bymoving the position of the exterior mirrors.
For manual folding mirrors, adjust the aimof the lamps by folding the exterior mirrorsinto or away from the windows. Forpower-folding mirrors, use the switchlocated on the driver-side door. SeeRemote Control (page 54).
Note:The spot lamps turn offautomatically when you reach a speed of6 mph (10 km/h).

MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL
Fan speed control: Adjust the volume of air circulated in the vehicle.A
Power: Press to switch the system on and off. When the system is off, itprevents outside air from entering the vehicle.B
Air distribution control: Press to switch airflow from the windshield,instrument panel, or footwell vents on or off. You can distribute air through anycombination of these vents.

Note: At least one of these buttons remain on while the system is on.
Recirculated air: Press to switch between outside air and recirculated air. Theair currently in the passenger compartment recirculates. This can reduce thetime needed to cool the interior and reduce unwanted odors from entering yourvehicle.

Temperature control: Controls the temperature of the air circulated in yourvehicle.E
MAX Defrost: Adjust to switch on defrost. Outside air flows through thewindshield vents and air conditioning automatically turns on. You can also usethis setting to defrost and clear the windshield of a thin covering of ice. Theheated rear window also automatically turns on when you select maximumdefrost.

Note: Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decalsfrom the inside of the heated rear window.The vehicle warranty does not coverdamage caused to the heated rear windowgrid lines.
Heated Exterior Mirrors
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the heated exterior mirrorsautomatically turn on.
Note:Do not remove ice from the mirrorswith a scraper or adjust the mirror glasswhen it is frozen in place.
