and push the seat forwards or
backwards: in the driving position your
arms should rest on the rim of the
steering wheel.
8)Height adjustment: move lever B
the required height.
Backrest angle adjustment: move
lever C fig. 8 to adjust the backrest
angle, accompanying it with the
movement of the chest (operate the
lever until the desired position is
reached, then release it).Electric lumbar adjustment(for
versions/markets where provided): with
key at MAR position, press button A
fig. 9 to adjust. Release the button
when you reach the desired position.
Electric seat heating(for versions/
markets, where provided): with the key
turned to MAR, press button A fig. 9

Table(for versions/markets, where provided)
10)On some versions, behind the front
seat backrest there is a folding support
surface equipped with cup/can holders.
In the rear part of the backrests there
is also an object retaining net.
IMPORTANT Do not place objects
heavier than 3 kg on the supporting
surface: for safety reasons the
supporting surface is detached from its
housing when subject to higher loads.
REAR SEATS
Longitudinal adjustment: lift the lever
A fig. 10 grasping it in the middle and

HEATING AND VENTILATION
Controls
A - Air temperature adjustment knob: blue section = cold air, red section = hot air;
B - air recirculation on/off button: internal air recirculation makes it possible to reach the required heating or cooling conditions
more quickly depending on the mode selected. Do not use the air recirculation function on rainy/cold days as it would
considerably increase the possibility of the windows steaming up;
C - fan activation/adjustment knob (0 = fan off / = fan speed) / 1-2-3-4 = ventilation speed;
D - heated rear window on/off button;
E - air distribution knob:
air from central vents, side vents and central diffuser
air from central vents, side vents, central diffuser and front and rear footwell diffusers
air only from front and rear footwell vents
air from front and rear footwell vents, to windscreen and side windows
air outlet to windscreen and side windows

IMPORTANT Two side gas shock
absorbers are provided to assist in
opening the bonnet. Do not tamper
with these shock absorbers and
accompany the bonnet when raising.
IMPORTANT Before raising the bonnet,
make sure that the arms of the wipers
are not raised from the windscreen and
that the wiper is not operational.
CLOSING
32)
Lower the bonnet to approximately 20
centimetres from the engine
compartment then let it drop. Make
sure that the bonnet is completely
closed and not only fastened by the
locking device by trying to open it.
If it is not perfectly closed, do not try to
press the bonnet lid down but open it
and repeat the procedure.
WARNING
32)For safety reasons, the bonnet must
always be properly closed while driving.
Therefore, make sure that the bonnet
is properly closed and that the lock
is engaged. If you discover during travel
that the lock is not fully engaged, stop
immediately and close the bonnet in the
correct manner.
DUALDRIVE
ELECTRIC POWER
STEERING
This only operates with the key turned
to MAR and the engine started. The
electric steering allows the force
required at the steering wheel to be
adjusted to suit driving conditions.
IMPORTANT When turning the ignition
key quickly, full power steering
functionality can be achieved after a
few seconds.
IMPORTANT During parking
manoeuvres requiring a lot of steering,
the steering may become harder; this is
normal and is due to the intervention
of the system to protect the electric
steering motor from overheating. No
repair intervention is needed in this
case. When the vehicle is used again,
the power steering will work normally
again.

CONTROL PANEL AND ON-BOARD INSTRUMENTS
The instrument background colour and type may vary according to the versions.
The warning lights on the instrument panel may change according to the version/trim level (e.g. LPG, Natural Power, Dualogic
gearbox, etc.) of the vehicle. The warning lights
andare only present on Diesel versions. On diesel versions, the
maximum engine speed (red range on the rev counter) corresponds to 5000 rpm.

Warning light What it means
GLOW PLUG PREHEATING FAILURE (Diesel versions)
The warning light will flash (on some versions, together with a message and a symbol on the display) to
indicate a fault in the plug preheating system.
In this case, contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
LPG FUEL RESERVE (LPG versions)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The warning light switches on when the residual quantity of LPG in the cylinder goes below 1/5 of the
capacity. The display will also show a dedicated message.
METHANE RESERVE (Natural Power versions)
The warning light switches on when the residual quantity of methane in the cylinder goes below 1/5 of the
capacity. The display will also show a dedicated message.

SYMBOLS AND MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY
Warning light What it means
DUALOGIC GEARBOX FAILURE
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The symbol is displayed, along with a dedicated message and an acoustic signal, when a fault is detected
in the gearbox.
The display also shows the messages for:
❒downshift request;
❒manual (or automatic) drive mode impossible;
❒clutch overheating;
❒delayed start/press of the brake pedal;
❒brake pedal press and repetition of the manoeuvre

WARNING
32)In the case of a gearbox failure, contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible to have the system checked.
33)If the messages continue to be shown in the display, contact a Fiat Dealership.
34)To protect the efficiency of the clutch, do not use the accelerator to keep the vehicle stationary (e.g. when stopped on an incline). The
clutch could overheat and be damaged; use the brake pedal and only operate the accelerator pedal when you decide to set off.
