Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) System
The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)transmitter may work up to60 m (197 ft) away from the vehicle.
Press this button to extend the key.The key can be used for all locks.
K:Press to unlock the driver dooror all doors.
Q:Press to lock all doors.
Lock and unlock feedback can bepersonalized.
Y:Press and hold until the trunkbegins to move.
7:Press and release to initiatevehicle locator. Press and hold for atleast three seconds to sound the
panic alarm. Press7again to
cancel the panic alarm.
/:PressQand release and then
immediately press and hold/for at
least four seconds to start theengine from outside the vehicle.

Remote Vehicle Start
If equipped, the engine can bestarted from outside of the vehicle.
Starting the Vehicle
1. Press and releaseQon the
RKE transmitter.
2. Immediately press and hold/
for at least four seconds or untilthe turn signal lamps flash.
Start the vehicle normally afterentering.
When the vehicle starts, the parkinglamps will turn on.
Remote start can be extended.

Canceling a Remote Start
To c a n c e l a r e m o t e s t a r t , d o o n e o fthe following:
.Press and hold/until the
parking lamps turn off.
.Turn on the hazard warningflashers.
.Turn the vehicle on and then off.

To l o c k o r u n l o c k t h e d o o r s f r o m t h eoutside:

.Use the key in the driver door.Turn the key toward the rear tolock all doors. Turn the keytoward the front to unlock thedriver door. Turn the key againtoward the front to unlock alldoors.

.Push the door lock knob on thetop of the door to lock.
.Pull the door handle once tounlock the door. Pulling thehandle again unlatches the door.

Keyless Access
If equipped, press the button on thedriver door handle when the RKEtransmitter is within 1 m (3 ft) of thedriver door handle. Mirror Adjustment
Adjust the rearview mirror for a clearview of the area behind the vehicle.The mirror automatically dims toreduce the glare of the headlampsfrom behind.
Exterior Mirrors
To a d j u s t t h e m i r r o r s :
1. Press the switch (2) to selectthe left or right mirror.
2. Press the arrows (1) to adjustthe mirror.
3. Adjust the mirror to see a littleof the vehicle, and the areabehind the vehicle.
Keep the switch (2) in the centerwhen not adjusting the mirrors.
Folding Mirrors
Manually fold the mirrors inward toprevent damage when goingthrough an automatic car wash. Tofold, pull the mirror toward thevehicle. Push the mirror outward toreturn it to its original position.
Steering Wheel
Adjustment
To a d j u s t t h e s t e e r i n g w h e e l :
1. Pull the lever down.
2. Move the steering wheel up ordown and in or out for acomfortable position.
3. Pull the lever up to lock thesteering wheel in place.
Do not adjust the tilt and telescopelever while driving.
Interior Lighting
Dome Lamps
The dome lamps are in theoverhead console.

4:Press to automatically turn onthe lamps when a door is opened,the vehicle is unlocked, or theignition is turned off.
Reading Lamps
The front reading lamps are in theoverhead console.
Press(or)to turn the lamp
on or off.
The rear reading lamps are in theheadliner.

Exterior Lighting
The exterior lamp control is on theinstrument panel to the left of thesteering wheel.
O:Briefly turn to this position toturn the automatic light control off oron again.
AUTO :Automatic operation of theheadlamps at normal brightness andother exterior lamps.
;:Turns on the parking lampsincluding all lamps, except theheadlamps.
5:Turns on the headlampstogether with the parking lamps.

could operate the power windows

Keys, Doors, and Windows 25
The key that is part of the RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) transmitter canbe used for all locks.
Press the button on the RKEtransmitter to extend the key. Pressthe button to retract the key.
See your dealer if a new key isneeded.
If it becomes difficult to turn the key,inspect the key blade for debris.Periodically clean with a brushor pick.
If locked out of the vehicle, seeRoadside Assistance Program0368.
With an active OnStar subscription,an OnStar Advisor may remotelyunlock the vehicle. SeeOnStarOverview0378.

If there is a decrease in the RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) operatingrange:
.Check the distance. Thetransmitter may be too far fromthe vehicle.
.Check the location. Othervehicles or objects may beblocking the signal.
.Check the transmitter's battery.See“Battery Replacement”laterin this section.
.If the transmitter is still notworking correctly, see yourdealer or a qualified technicianfor service.
