Safety
switch
General
information
The safety switch in the driver's door can be
used to prevent children, e.g., from opening and closing the rear windows using the
switches in the rear.
If an accident of a certain severity occurs, the safety function is switched off automatically.
Switching
on
and
off Press button.
The LED lights up if the safety func#j
tion is switched on.
Roller
sunblinds Roller
sunblinds
for
the
rear
side
windows
Pull out the roller sunblind at the loop and hook
it onto the bracket.
WARNING
With closed roller sunblinds and open
windows, the roller sunblinds can be loaded
heavily while driving due to the wind. The roller
sunblinds can be damaged and compromise
the passengers. There is risk of injuries. Do not open the windows while driving if the roller
sunblinds are closed.'

'yThe opened glass sunroof closes until it is
in its tilted position. The sliding visor does not move.'yThe tilted glass sunroof is closed. The slid#jing visor does not move.

ance point and hold it there.
The sliding visor opens, as
long as the switch is held
down. If the sliding visor is
already fully open, the glass
sunroof opens.
The glass sunroof closes as
long as the switch is held
down. If the glass sunroof is
already closed or in the tilted
position, the sliding visor
closes.'yPress the switch in the desired direction
past the resistance point.
The sliding visor opens automatically. If the sliding visor is already fully open, the glasssunroof opens automatically.
The glass sunroof closes automatically. If the glass sunroof is already closed or in the
tilted position, the sliding visor closes au#j
tomatically.
Pressing the switch upward stops the mo#j tion.

Briefly press the switch twice insuccession in the desired direc#j tion past the resistance point.
The glass sunroof and sliding vi#j
sor move together. Pressing the
switch upward stops the motion.

Closing by means of Comfort Access, refer to page 39.
Comfort
position
If the glass sunroof is not completely opened
automatically, the comfort position has been attained. In this position the wind noises in theinterior are the least.
If desired, continue the movement by pressing
the switch.
Pinch
protection
system
General
information
If the closing force when closing the glass sun#j
roof exceeds a certain value, the closing move#j ment is stopped, beginning at approximately
the middle of the opening in the roof, or from
the tilted position during closing. The glass
sunroof reopens slightly.
Closing
from
the
open
position
without
pinch
protection
If there is an external danger, proceed as fol#j
lows:1.Press the switch forward beyond the re#j
sistance point and hold.
The pinch protection is limited and the
glass sunroof reopens slightly if the closing
force exceeds a certain threshold.2.Press the switch forward again beyond the resistance point and hold until the glass

Closing
from
the
raised
position
without
pinch
protection
If there is an external danger,
push the switch forward past the
resistance point and hold it.
The glass sunroof closes with#j
out jam protection.
Initializing
after
a
power
interruption
General
information After a power failure during the opening orclosing process, the glass sunroof can only be
operated to a limited extent.
The system can be initialized when the vehicle
is stationary and the engine is running.
During the initialization, the glass sunroof
closes without jam protection.
Make sure that the closing area is clear.
Initializing
the
system Press the switch up and hold ituntil the initialization is com#j
plete:
Initialization begins within
15 seconds and is completed

The maximum temperature is reached when three LEDs are lit.
If the trip is continued within approx. 15 mi#j
nutes after a stop, seat heating is activated au#j
tomatically with the temperature selected last.
When ECO PRO is activated, the heater output
is reduced.
Switching
off Press and hold the button, until the
LEDs go out.
Temperature
distribution
The heating action in the seat cushion and
backrest can be distributed in different ways.

Active
seat
ventilation,
front
The
concept The seat cushion and backrest surfaces are
cooled by means of integrated fans.
The ventilation cools the seat, e.g., if the vehi#j
cle interior is overheated or for continuous cooling at high temperatures.

level.
The highest level is active when three LEDs are lit.
After a short time, the system automatically moves down one level in order to prevent ex#j
cessive cooling.

off Press and hold the button, until the
LEDs go out.
Rear

row

There is a risk of jamming when folding
down the center armrest in the rear. There is a
risk of injury. Make sure that the area of move#j
ment of the center armrest is clear during fold#j
ing down.'

Forward/backward1.Pull the lever, arrow 1, and slide the seat inthe desired direction.2.Release lever and move seat slightly for#j
ward or back to get it to latch in place.
Backrest
tilt
The backrest tilt can be adjusted to six set#j tings.
Pull the lever, and apply your weight to the
backrest or lift it off, as necessary.
Access
to
the
third
row
of
seats
1.Fold middle section of the second seat row
up as necessary. When the middle section is folded down, comfortable entry is notpossible.2.Pull the lever and fold the seat forward.
If the second row of seats is not locked, a
warning symbol is displayed in the instrument
cluster.
