•What To Do
In the case of normal gear: stop the car, shut off the
engine, and check that the level of coolant inside the
tank is not below the minimum (MIN). In this case,
wait for the engine to cool, then slowly and carefully
open the cap, fill with coolant, make sure it is
between the MIN and MAX marks. Also, check for
coolant leaks. If at the next start-up, the light (or the
icon on the display) would once again illuminate,
contact an authorized dealer.
In the case of heavy use of the car (e.g. In terms of
performance): slow down and, if the light stays on,
stop the car. For two or three minutes, keep the
engine running and slightly accelerate to help the
flow of coolant in the system. Then, turn the engine
off. Check for the correct level of coolant as described
above. Electric Park Brake Failure
•What Does It Mean
By placing the ignition in the MAR/RUN
position, the light (If Equipped) will illumi-
nate but should go out after a few seconds.
The light comes on when it detects a failure
in Electric Parking Brake.
The display shows the dedicated message.
• What To Do
Please contact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.
NOTE: In this case, with heavy braking, the rear wheels
may lock early and increase the possibility of skidding.

CAUTION!(Continued)
equipped on your vehicle. Undesirable system opera-
tion or sensor damage may result when using re-
placement equipment that is not of the same size,
type, and/or style. Aftermarket wheels can cause
sensor damage. Using aftermarket tire sealants may
cause the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
sensor to become inoperable. After using an after-
market tire sealant it is recommended that you take
your vehicle to an authorized dealership to have your
sensor function checked.
•What To Do
Do not drive your vehicle with one or more tires
deflated because the driveability of the car could be
compromised. Stop the car and avoid braking and
sharp turns. Contact your authorized dealer as soon
as possible. ESC System
•What Does It MeanIntervention ESC System: The light will start
to flash as soon as the tires lose traction and
the ESC system becomes active. If the “ESC
Activation/Malfunction Indicator Light” be-
gins to flash during acceleration, ease up on
the accelerator and apply as little throttle as
possible. Be sure to adapt your speed and driving to the
prevailing road conditions.
Failure ESC System: If the light remains permanently
on after four second of the engine running, there may
be a failure in ESC system.
System Failure Hill Start Assist: The warning light comes
on to indicate a failure of the system Hill Start Assist.
• What To Do
Please contact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.

position, the indicator light illuminates, but
should go out as soon as the engine is
started.
The warning light will come on to indicate
the safety systems have been partially or
totally disabled. For more information of the system,
refer to Electronic Stability Control (ESC) in the
Safety section.
By reactivating the ESC system, the light goes out.
Engine Malfunction •What Does It Mean
The light is an integral part of the diagnos-
tic system of the vehicle, called OBD II. This system monitors the performance of the emis-
sions, engine, and automatic transmission control
systems.
The light comes on briefly (as a bulb check) when the
ignition is turned to the MAR/RUN. If the light does
not illuminate, it means that there is a failure.
In some conditions, such as the poor quality of the
fuel, the light may come on only after starting the
engine.
•
What To Do
Under these conditions, you can continue driving.
Avoid heavy efforts to the engine or high speeds. The
prolonged use of the car with the light illuminated
can cause damage to the engine.
Please contact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.
