Hybrid battery (traction battery) status
When driving in EV mode, the battery display will switch when the
remaining charge display reaches one fifth of the total, and HV
mode will be switched to when the level reaches 6 or below.
The display when switching from EV mode to HV mode is different to the
display when switching from HV mode to EV mode.
*1: Switching to HV mode using the EV/HV mode selection switch is possi-
ble.
*2: Switching to EV mode using the EV/HV mode selection switch is not pos-sible.

The remaining charge display of the hybrid battery (traction battery) icon on
the multi-information display switches in accordance with the remaining
charge. ( P. 61)
■ Resetting the consumption data
Display Audio system
Selecting “Clear” on the “Consumption” screen will reset the fuel consump-
tion and the regenerated energy for the past 30 minutes.
Selecting “Yes” on the following screen will confirm resetting of all the data.
Navigation system
Selecting “Clear” on the “Consumption” screen will reset the fuel consump-
tion and the regenerated energy for the past 30 minutes.
Selecting “Yes” on the following screen will confirm resetting of all the data.
Multi-information display
If the “POWER” switch is turned OF F, average fuel consumption and regen-
erated energy data will be reset.
■ EV driving range display
●When in EV mode or when necessary charge is remaining for EV mode,
the estimated EV driving range can also be confirmed using the Hybrid
System Indicator. ( P. 273)
● The distance displayed is computed based on electricity consumption.
As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that
displayed.
■ Resetting the monthly fuel consumption
Press and hold the “TRIP” button while the monthly fuel consumption is dis-
played.
A confirmation message will be displayed.
Press and hold the “TRIP” button to reset the data.
Press the “DISP” button to cancel the reset operation. The screen will return
to the previous display if no buttons are pressed for approximately 10 sec-
onds.

Cruising range
Displays the estimated distance that can be driven with the quantities of fuel
and hybrid battery (traction battery) charge currently remaining.
This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption.
As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.
■ Odometer/trip meter/distance to empty
The odometer/trip meter/distance to empty will not be displayed while the
monthly fuel consumption record is being displayed.

EV driving range
The EV driving range displayed on the multi-information display
shows the approximate driving range in EV mode, and the actual dis-
tance that can be driven m ay differ from that displayed.
■Displayed value
The value displayed on the mult i-information display is calcu-
lated from the follo wing information.
● The amount of hybrid battery (t raction battery) charge cur-
rently remaining
● The electricity consumption (the estimated distance that can
be driven in EV mode per unit of electrical energy) based on
the recorded value
● Air conditioning on/off
The electricity consum ption varies depending on how the vehicle
is driven. The vehicle automatica lly records the electricity con-
sumption when being charged and uses the electricity consump-
tion for calculating the estima ted EV driving range. Therefore,
the EV driving range displayed when the hybrid battery (traction
battery) is fully charged may differ from the previous EV driving
range depending on how the vehicle was driven.

Charging timer function
By using the charging timer function, deterioration of the hybrid bat-
tery (traction battery) charge can be suppressed ( P. 98), and off-
peak electricity can be used effectively.
● A charging time can be assigned by setting the charging start time
or finish time.
● Once the time has been set, the time can be assigned again next
time simply by pressing the charging timer switch.
Remove the plug from the out-
let when the charging equip-
ment will not be used for a
prolonged period of time.
Hold the body of the plug when
removing.
Make sure to put the cable
away immediately after discon-

When leaving the plug
inserted, inspect the plug and
connector once a month to
check if dirt or dust has accu-

Charging messages
The first time the “POWER”
switch is turned to ON mode
after charging is completed, a
message detailing the results of
the charging will be displayed.
Also, if an operation which can-
not be carried out is attempted
during charging, a warning mes-
sage will be displayed.
( P. 570)
Comply with the instructions in
the message and carry out any
necessary operations.
The message may not be dis-
played if the Remote Air Condi-
tioning System ( P. 377) has
been used.
■ Amount of time until charging is complete
Charging fully from when an EV drivi ng range is not displayed (0 mile [0 km])
on the multi-information display ( P. 58) will take approximately 2.5 hours
(AC120 V).
The amount of time until charging is complete will change in accordance with
the amount of charge remaining in the hybrid battery (traction battery), the
outside temperature, etc.
■ During charging
●The surface of the CCID (Charging Circuit Interrupting Device) may
become hot, but this does not indicate a malfunction.
● Depending on radio wave conditions, interference may be heard on the
radio.
