F Switch on the compressor by moving the switch B to position "I"
until the tyre pressure reaches 2.0 bars.
The sealant is injected into the tyre under pressure; do not
disconnect the pipe from the valve during this operation (risk of
splashing). F
Remove the kit and screw the cap back on the white pipe.
Take care to avoid staining your vehicle with traces of fluid. Keep
the kit to hand.
F
Drive immediately for approximately three miles (five kilometres),

at reduced speed (between 15 and 35 mph (20 and 60 km/h)), to
plug the puncture.
F

Stop to check the repair and the tyre pressure using the kit.
Do not start the compressor before connecting the white pipe
to the tyre valve: the sealant product would be expelled through
the pipe.
Tyre under-inflation detection
If	the	vehicle	is	fitted	with	tyre	under-inflation	detection,
the under-inflation warning lamp will remain on after the wheel
has been repaired until the system is reinitialised by a PEUGEOT

dealer
	 or a qualified workshop.
If after around 5 to 7 minutes the pressure is not attained, this
indicates that the tyre is not repairable; contact a PEUGEOT
dealer

or

a

qualified

workshop

for

assistance.

TOOLS AN d SPARE WHEEL *
Depending	on	the	country	of	sale,	the	vehicle	is	equipped	with	the	tools	needed
to change a wheel and may also be equipped with a spare

Never drive with the rear seat folded when the
spare wheel - or a punctured wheel - is present
in the boot.

Charging
F Disconnect the (+) terminal.
F
Follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer of the
charger
.
F

Connect the charger's red cable to the (+) terminal of the battery
 ,
then the black cable to the (-) terminal.
F

Once the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger cables in
reverse order
.
Charging should be carried out in a well-ventilated area and away
from
naked flames and sources of sparks, so as to avoid any risk
of
	 explosion and fire.
Do
not try to charge a frozen battery; first thaw it out so as to
avoid the risk of explosion.
If the battery had frozen, before charging, have it checked by a
PEUGEOT

dealer or qualified workshop who will ensure that the
internal components have not been damaged and that the casing
is not cracked, which would cause a leak of toxic and corrosive
acid.
REINITIALISATION AFTER RECONNECTION
After any reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition and wait at
least one minute before starting, to allow time for the initialisation o\
f the
electronic systems.
By referring to the corresponding sections, you should set or initialise\

the following systems yourself:
-

remote control,
-

electric windows and automatic partial opening of door glasses,
-

time and date,
-

audio and navigation system settings.
Check that no alert message or warning lamp comes on after switching
on the ignition.
However
, if minor problems persist after carrying out these operations,
contact
	 a PEUGEOT

 dealer or a qualified workshop.

 .
F

Install the towing arm.
F

Place the gear lever in neutral (position N

Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases the temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled, its cooling capacity is not depen\
dent
on the engine speed.
F
T
o lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towing load on a long slope depends on the gradient and
the ambient temperature.
In all cases, pay attention to the coolant temperature.
Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking distance.
Tyres
F Check the tyre pressures of the towing vehicle and of the trailer ,
observing the recommended pressures.
Lighting
F Check the electrical signalling on the trailer .
F
If the warning l
amp and the STOP warning lamp come
on, stop the vehicle and switch off the engine as soon as
possible. The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a
genuine PEUGEOT towbar is used.
When not towing a trailer, remove the quickly-detachable tow ball
before driving, so as to avoid masking the central rear lamp.
