The lane change signals will blink 3, 5, or 7 times when the turn signal lever is
moved slightly.

Seat/Steering

Seat Easy Access
The seat easy access function will be deactivated.
- When you turn off the engine, the driver’s seat will automatically move rearward by 5 cm(Normal) or 7.6 cm (Enhanced) for you to enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.
- If you change the Engine Start/Stop Button from OFF position to the ACC, ON, or START position, the driver’s seat will return to the original position.

Steering Easy Access
The steering wheel will automatically move forward or rearward for the driver to
enter or exit the vehicle comfortably.
The steering easy access function will be deactivated. ❈ For more details, refer to “Driver Position Memory System” in chapter 4.
Haptic Steering System Switch (if equipped)
Adjust the rotating effort of the haptic switch on the steering wheel for LCD display control (Strong, Normal, Mild). ❈ For the haptic switch, refer to "LCD Display Control" in this chapter.

the shift lever in P (Park) position.
At this time, the Engine Start/Stop Button turns to the ACC position (If

Low Key Battery
This warning message illuminatesif the battery of the smart key is discharged when the Engine
Start/Stop Button changes to theOFF position.

Check headlamp LED (if equipped)
This warning message illuminates
if the headlamp does not turned on
normally when you turn the head
lamp on. In this case, have your
vehicle inspected by an authorized
Kia dealer.
Check headlamp FAN (if equipped)
This warning message illuminatesif the headlamp is overheated.It
means, the headlamp fan does not
work normally. In this case, have
your vehicle inspected by an
authorized Kia dealer as soon as
possible.
Check battery voltage
This warning message illuminates ifthe battery voltage is abnormally
low, or the battery has poor per-
formance. In the case, have your
vehicle inspected by an authorized

Press brake pedal to start engine
This warning message illuminatesif the Engine Start/Stop Button
changes to the ACC position twice
by pressing the button repeatedly
without depressing the brake pedal.
It means that you should depress the brake pedal to start the engine.
Key not in vehicle
This warning message illuminatesif the smart key is not in the vehicle while the door is opened or closed
with the ignition switch in the ACC
position or engine is running.
It means that you should always have the smart key with you.
Key not detected
This warning message illuminatesif the smart key is not detected
when you press the Engine
Start/Stop Button.

Press START button again
This warning message illuminates
if you can not operate the Engine
Start/Stop Button when there is a
problem with the Engine Start/StopButton system.
It means that you could start the engine by pressing the Engine
Start/ Stop Button once more.
If the warning illuminates each time you press the Engine Start/Stop
Button, we recommend that you
have the vehicle inspected by an
authorized Kia dealer.
Press START button with key
This warning message illuminatesif you press the Engine Start/Stop
Button while the warning message
“Key not detected” is illuminating.
At this time, the immobilizer indica- tor light blinks.
Check BRAKE SWITCH fuse
This warning message illuminatesif the brake switch fuse is discon- nected.
It means that you should replace the fuse with a new one. If that is
not possible, you can start the
engine by pressing the Engine
Start/Stop Button for 10 seconds in
the ACC position.

Shift to "P" or "N" to start engine
This warning message illuminatesif you try to start the engine with
the shift lever not in the P (Park) or
N (Neutral) position.
✽✽ NOTICE
You can start the engine with the
shift lever in the N (Neutral) position.
But, for your safety, we recommend
that you start the engine with the
shift lever in the P (Park) position.Press START Button and Shift to "P"
This warning message illuminates if you try to turn off the engine with-
out the shift lever in P (Park) posi-tion.
At this time, the Engine Start/Stop Button turns to the ACC position (If
you press the Engine Start/Stop
Button once more, it will turn to theON position).
Set the Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position, then shift to P
(Park) by pressing the P button on
the top of the shift lever.
