1.Insert the key you want to program intothe ignition.
2. Switch the ignition on.
3. Access the main menu on theinformation display controls. PressSETUP using the information displaybuttons until PRESS RESET TOCREATE MYKEY is displayed.
4. Press and release the RESET button.You will see HOLD RESET TOCONFIRM MYKEY in the display.
5. Press and hold the RESET button fortwo seconds until you see the messageMARK THIS AS RESTRICTED in thedisplay. Wait until you see KEYRESTRICTED AT NEXT START in thedisplay.
If You Have a Type 2 InformationDisplay:
1.Insert the key you want to program intothe ignition.
2. Switch the ignition on.
3. Access the main menu on theinformation display controls, and selectSETTINGS, then MYKEY by pressingOK or the > button.
4. Press OK or the > button to selectCREATE A MYKEY.
5. When prompted, hold the OK buttonuntil you see KEY RESTRICTED ATNEXT START in the display. The keywill be restricted at the next start.
MyKey is successfully created. Make sureyou label it so you can distinguish it fromthe admin keys.
You can also program configurablesettings for the key(s). Refer toProgramming/Changing ConfigurableSettings.
Programming/ChangingConfigurable Settings
Use the information display to program orchange your configurable MyKey settings.There are two types of informationdisplays, and their controls and messagingvary. To determine which type of displayyou have, you will need to referenceanother chapter. See GeneralInformation (page 81).
If You Have a Type 1 InformationDisplay:
1. Switch the ignition on using an adminkey.
2. Access the main menu on theinformation display controls, and pressSETUP until RESET FOR MYKEYSETTINGS displays.
3. Press and release the RESET buttonto display MyKey setup menus.
4.Press the SETUP button to enter yourchoice. Once you make a selection, thenext configurable setting will bedisplayed.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you aredone changing the configurablesettings.
If You Have a Type 2 InformationDisplay:
1. Switch the ignition on using an adminkey.
2. Access the main menu on theinformation display controls, and selectSETTINGS, then MYKEY by pressingOK or the > button.
3. Use the arrow buttons to get to aconfigurable feature.
4. Press OK or > to make a selection.

MyKey™
Note:You can clear or change your MyKeysettings at any time during the same keycycle as you created the MyKey. Once youhave switched the engine off, however, youwill need an admin key to change or clearyour MyKey settings.
CLEARING ALL MYKEYS
You can clear all MyKeys within the samekey cycle as you created the MyKey. If youswitch your ignition off, however, you willneed to use an admin key to clear yourMyKeys.
Note:When you clear your MyKeys, youremove all restrictions and return all MyKeysto their original admin key status at once.
To clear all MyKeys of all MyKey settings,use the information display. There are twotypes of information displays, and theircontrols and messaging vary. To determinewhich type of display you have, you willneed to reference another chapter. SeeGeneral Information (page 81).
If You Have a Type 1 InformationDisplay:
1.Press SETUP until PRESS RESET TOCLEAR MYKEY displays.
2. Press and release the RESET button.The display will show HOLD RESETTO CONFIRM CLEAR.
3. Press and hold the RESET button fortwo seconds until ALL MYKEYSCLEARED displays.
If You Have a Type 2 InformationDisplay:
1. Access the main menu and selectSETTINGS, then MYKEY.
2.Scroll to CLEAR ALL and press the OKbutton.
3. Hold the OK button until ALLMYKEYS CLEARED displays.
CHECKING MYKEY SYSTEM
STATUS
You can find information about yourprogrammed MyKeys by using theinformation display.
MYKEY DISTANCE
Tracks the distance when drivers use aMyKey. The only way to delete theaccumulated distance is by using an adminkey to clear your MyKey. If the distancedoes not accumulate as expected, thenthe intended user is not using the MyKey,or an admin key user recently cleared andthen recreated a MyKey.
NUMBER OF MYKEY(S)
Indicates the number of MyKeysprogrammed to your vehicle. Use thisfeature to detect how many MyKeys youhave for your vehicle and determine whena MyKey has been deleted.
NUMBER OF ADMIN KEY(S)
Indicates how many admin keys areprogrammed to your vehicle. Use thisfeature to determine how manyunrestricted keys you have for your vehicle,and detect if an additional MyKey has beenprogrammed.
USING MYKEY WITH REMOTE
START SYSTEMS
MyKey is not compatible with nonFord-approved, aftermarket remote startsystems. If you choose to install a remotestart system, see an authorized dealer fora Ford-approved remote start system.

Potential causesCondition
· The key used to start the vehicle does nothave admin privileges.I cannot create a MyKey.

WARNINGS
Do not leave children unattended inyour vehicle and do not let them playwith the power windows. They mayseriously injure themselves.
When closing the power windows,you should verify they are free ofobstructions and make sure thatchildren and pets are not in the proximityof the window openings.
Note:You may hear a pulsing noise whenjust one of the windows is open. Lower theopposite window slightly to reduce thisnoise.
Press the switch to open the window.
Lift the switch to close the window.
One-Touch Up or Down (If Equipped)
Press or lift the switch fully and release it.Press or lift it again to stop the window.
Note:The window may disable for up tofive minutes if you cycle it up and downrepeatedly. This helps prevent damage tothe motor. Normal operation will resumeonce the motor cools.
Restoring the One-Touch Up Function
You may lose the one-touch function if thevehicle battery is low.
Note:Perform one-touch up re-calibrationwith the door closed. Calibrating with thedoor open will cause the window tocontinuously bounce back.
To reset the function after the batteryrecharges:
1. Pull the switch all the way up.
2. Hold the switch until the glass stopsand continue to hold for two seconds.
3.Press the switch down and operate thewindow to the full down position.One-touch up will now be functional.
Bounce-Back (If Equipped)
The window will stop automatically whileclosing. It will reverse some distance ifthere is an obstacle in the way.
Overriding the Bounce-Back Feature
WARNING
When you override the bounce-backfeature, the window will not reverseif it detects an obstacle. Take carewhen closing the windows to avoidpersonal injury or damage to your vehicle.
Pull up the window switch and hold withintwo seconds of the window reaching thebounce-back position. The window willtravel up with no bounce-back protection.The window will stop if you release theswitch before the window closes fully.

To adjust a mirror:
1. Rotate the control to select the mirroryou want to adjust.
2. Adjust the position of the mirror.
3. Return the control to the centerposition to lock mirrors in place.
Fold-Away Exterior Mirrors
For tight parking conditions, you can pushthe mirror toward the door window glass.Before driving, make sure that you fullyengage the mirror in its support whenreturning it to its original position.
Power-Folding Mirrors (If Equipped)
1. Rotate the control so the dots line up.
2.Pull the control back to fold the mirrorsin or out.
Note:If you repeatedly fold and unfold themirrors several times within one minute, thesystem may disable to protect the motorsfrom overheating. It will reset to normalfunction automatically within three to fiveminutes.
You can also fold a mirror manually bypushing it toward the door window glass.After you manually adjust the mirror, youwill need to reset it.
To reset the power-folding mirror systemand return it to its normal function:
•Fold the mirror manually by pushing ittoward the door window glass.
•Use the power-fold control to fold andunfold the mirror two or three times.The mirror will make a sound as itresets.

You can save and recall the mirrorpositions through the memory function.See Memory Function (page 113).
Clearance Lamps (If Equipped)
