Hybrid warning labels
There are additional warning labels that warns against touching hybrid system components. The warning labels are placed:
x on each high-voltage component for example in the engine compartment or underneath the
luggage compartment ⇒ fig. 265 A.
x in the engine compartment on the hood latch carrier B.

NOTICE
When refilling operating fluids, make sure not to confuse them. Otherwise serious malfunctions and engine damage can occur!

Engine does not start.

Vehicle cannot be locked or unlocked using remote control vehicle key.
– Battery in remote control vehicle key dead. – Too far away from vehicle. (out of range). – Buttons have been pressed too many times.
– Replace battery –. Move closer to vehicle. – Synchronize remote control vehicle key – Lock or unlock vehicle manually
Unusual noises. Cold engine, brake-assistance systems, electronic parking brake.

Driver seat and outer mirrors move when vehicle is unlocked.
Convenience settings are stored. Correct convenience settings

Front seats cannot be adjusted with power controls.

Fuse blown. Check fuse and replace if necessary
No jack in vehicle or no collapsible spare tire or tire mobility set in vehicle.

Driving at high engine speed. Select a higher gear.

x Insert a flat object, such as the screwdriver in the vehicle tool kit, into the opening ⇒ fig. 328 (1) or
⇒ fig. 329 (1) and carefully pry off the cover in the direction of the arrow (2).
NOTICE
x To help prevent vehicle damage, be careful when removing fuse box covers and be sure to reinstall them properly.
x Open fuse boxes must be protected from dirt and moisture. Dirt and moisture in fuse boxes can cause damage to the electrical system.
The vehicle contains other fuses in addition to those mentioned in this chapter. Have these fuses replaced by an authorized Volkswagen dealer or an authorized Volkswagen Service Facility.
