After your vehicle is inspected at aMITSUBISHI MOTORS Authorised Ser-vice Point, it displays the time until thenext periodic inspection.
The “---” display can be reset while the oper-ation mode of the power switch is in OFF.
Example usage of tripmeter and tripmeter
It is possible to measure two currentlytravelled distances, from home using trip-meter and from a particular point onthe way using tripmeter .

This lamp is a part of anonboard diagnostic systemwhich monitors the emissions,engine control system.If a problem is detected in one
of these systems, this lamp illuminates orflashes.Although your vehicle will usually be driva-ble and not need towing, we recommend youto have the system checked as soon as possi-ble.This lamp will also illuminate when the oper-ation mode of the power switch is put in ON,and goes off after the Plug-in Hybrid EV Sys-tem has started. If it does not go off after thePlug-in Hybrid EV System has started, werecommend you to have the vehicle checked.
This data will be erased if a auxiliary batterycable is disconnected which will make a rapiddiagnosis difficult. Do not disconnect a auxil-iary battery cable when the check enginewarning lamp is ON.
CAUTIONzIn the situations listed below, brake perfor-mance may be compromised or the vehiclemay become unstable if brakes are appliedsuddenly; consequen

high speeds or applyi
ng the brakes suddenly.
Furthermore, immediately the vehicle shouldbe brought to a stop in

recommend you to have it checked.•The brake warning lamp does not illumi-nate when the parking brake is applied ordoes not turn off when the parking brake isreleased.•The brake warning lamp and the ABSwarning lamp illuminate at the same time.For details, refer to “ABS warning lamp”on page 7-30.•The brake warning lamp remains illumi-nated while driving.
zThe vehicle should be brought to a halt in thefollowing manner when brake performancehas deteriorated.• Depress the brake pedal harder than usual.Even if the brake pedal moves down to thevery end of its possible stroke, keep itpressed down hard.
• Should the brakes fail, use regenerativebraking to reduce your speed and carefullypull the parking brake lever.Depress the brake pedal to operate the stoplamp to alert the vehicles behind you.

Use the hazard warning flasher switch whenthe vehicle has to be parked on the road forany emergency.The hazard warning flashers can always beoperated, regardless of the operation mode.Push the switch to turn on the hazard warningflashers, all turn signal lamps flash continu-ously. To turn them off, push the switchagain.
Tu r n - s i g n a l l e v e r 1- Turn-signals
When making a normal turn, use position(1). The lever will return automaticallywhen cornering is completed.
2- Lane-change signals
When moving the lever to (2) slightly tochange a lane, the turn-signal lamps andindicator lamp in the instrument clusterwill only flash while the lever is oper-ated.Also, when you move the lever to (2)slightly then release it, the turn-signallamps and indicator lamp in the instru-ment cluster will flash three times.
NOTE
zIf the lamp flashes unusually quickly, thebulb in a turn-signal lamp may have burnedout. We recommend you to have the vehicleinspected.zIt is possible to activate the following func-tions:•Flashing of the turn-signal lamps when thelever is operated with the operation mode isin ACC.•Deactivate the turn-signal lamp 3-flashfunction for lane changes•The time required to operate the lever forthe 3-flash function can be adjusted.For further information, we recommend youto consult a MITSUBISHI MOTORSAuthorised Service Point.On vehicles equipped
