The device can be used to play audio files saved on a CD.
The internal drive can only be used to play audioCDs (CD-A), CD-Rs and CD-RWs.
Inserting›With the labelled side facing up, insert a CD into the CD slot 12 » Fig. 1 on page 5
until it is automatically drawn in. The play function will start automatically.
Ejecting›
Press the button – the CD is ejected.
If the ejected CD is not removed within 10 seconds, it is retracted again for safety
reasons. The play function will not start automatically.
WARNINGThe CD player is a laser product. On the manufacturing date, this unit was classified as a class 1 laser product in accordance with the national/interna-
tional standards DIN EN 60825-1: 2008-05 and DHHS Rules 21 CFR,
Subchapter J classified as a class 1 laser product. The laser beam used in this
class 1 laser product is so weak that it poses no risk when operated correctly.
This product is designed such that the laser beam is restricted to the inside of
the device. However, this does not mean that the integrated laser could be
classified as a higher class laser product were the housing to be removed. For
this reason, never remove the housing from the device.
CAUTION
■ Never place DVDs into the internal drive, as this may cause irreparable damage
to the device.■
Never insert CDs with the designation “ Do not insert in drives without a draw-
er ” into the internal drive or use “ EcoDiscs” in the internal drive.

After pressing the button , there is a delay of a few seconds before the CD is
ejected. During this time, the barrier to the CD slot is open.
■
Be sure to wait until the CD has been fully ejected before you try to insert a new
CD. Failure to do so can cause damage to the device drive.
■
If the CD has mechanical damage, is not readable or is inserted incorrectly, the
following message is displayed: CD functionality is restricted. Check the CD and
insert it properly into the drive. If the message is displayed again, try using anoth-
er CD or visit a specialist garage if necessary.
■
If the inside temperature of the device is too high, no CDs will be accepted. The
device switches to the last active operating mode.
■
Never use liquids such as benzine, paint thinner or record cleaner to clean the
surface of the CD, as this may cause damage.
