by snow orice, thewiper maystop moving to

snow orice onand around thewiper arms.In
approximately 1minute, turntheswitch onagain
to operate thewiper.
Reverse synchronization function:

When thewindshield wiperswitch ison, moving the
shift lever tothe ªRº (Reverse) positionwilloperate the
rear window wiper.

The defogger isused toreduce themoisture, fogor
frost onthe rear window andoutside doormirror (if
equipped) surfacetoimprove therear view.
When thedefogger switchispushed, theindicator
light

illuminates andtherear window defogger
operates forapproximately 15minutes. Afterthepreset
time haspassed, thedefogger willturn offautomati-
cally .
T o turn offmanually ,push thedefogger switchagain.
CAUTION:
. When operating thedefogger continuously,
be sure tostart theengine. Otherwise, itmay
cause thebattery todischarge.
. When cleaning theinner sideofthe window,
be careful nottoscratch ordamage the
electrical conductors onthe surface ofthe
window.
NO TE:
When therear defogger isturned on,the Stop/
Start System orIdling StopSystem (ifequipped)
will notbeactivated.

The horn switch operates regardless ofthe ignition
switch position exceptwhenthebattery isdischarged.
When thehorn switch ispushed andheld, thehorn will

The automatic functionenablesawindow tofully open
or close without holding theswitch downorup.
T o fully open thewindow ,push thepower window
switch downtothe second detentandrelease the
switch. To fully close thewindow ,pull thepower
window switchuptothe second detentandrelease
the switch. Theswitch doesnothave tobe held during
window operation.
T o stop thewindow open/close operationduringthe
automatic function,pushdown orpull upthe switch in
opposite directions.
Auto-reverse function:

WARNING:
There isasmall distance justbefore theclosed
position whichcannot bedetected. Makesure
that allpassengers havetheirhands, etc.inside
the vehicle beforeclosing thewindows.
The auto-reverse functionenablesawindow to
automatically reversewhensomething iscaught in
the window asitis closing bythe automatic function.
When thecontrol unitdetects anobstacle, thewindow
will belowered immediately .
Depending onthe environment ordriving conditions,
the auto-reverse functionmayactivate ifan impact or
load similar tosomething beingcaught inthe window
occurs.
If the window doesnotclose automatically

If the power window automatic function(closingonly)
does notoperate properly,perform thefollowing
procedure toinitialize thepower window system.
1. Place theignition switchinthe ªONº position.
2. Close thedoor.
3. Open thewindow completely byoperating the
power window switch.
4. Pullthepower window switchandhold itto close
the window ,and then holdtheswitch morethan3
seconds afterthewindow isclosed completely .
5. Release thepower window switch.Operate the
window bythe automatic functiontoconfirm the
initialization iscomplete.
If the power window automatic functiondoesnot
operate properly afterperforming theprocedure above,
have yourvehicle checked byaNISSAN dealer.

Auto-reverse function

closed position whichcannot bedetected. Make

sunshade.
The auto-reverse functionenablesthesunroof and
sunshade toautomatically reversewhensomething is
caught inthe sunroof andsunshade asitis closing.
When thecontrol unitdetects anobstacle, thesunroof
and sunshade willopen immediately .

perform thefollowing procedure toinitialize the
operation system.
1. Ifthe sunroof andsunshade areopen, closethem
fully byrepeatedly pushingthesunroof switchto
the CLOSE

2. Push andhold thesunroof switchtothe CLOSE

position for10 seconds.
3. After thesunroof andsunshade moveslightly to
the closed position andthen move backalittle,
release thesunroof switch.

5. Release thesunroof switch.Thesunroof and
sunshade willfully open andthen fullyclose.
6. Check ifthe sunroof switchoperates normally.
If the sunroof doesnotoperate properly afterperform-
