2. Place the recognizedtransmitter(s) in the pocket. The
transmitter pocket is inside the
center console storage area
located between the driver and
front passenger seats. 3. Remove the key lock cylinder
cap. See Door Locks on
page 2‑10. Insert the vehicle key
into the key lock cylinder located
on the driver door handle. Then
turn the key counterclockwise, to
the unlock position, five times
within 10 seconds.
The Driver Information Center
(DIC) displays READY TO
LEARN ELECTRONIC KEY #2,
3, 4, ETC.
4. Replace the recognized transmitter with a new
transmitter. Place the new
transmitter in the transmitter
pocket.
5. Press the START button. When the transmitter is learned, the
DIC display will show that it is
ready to program the next
transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press
K
orQon the transmitter.
To program additional
transmitters, repeat Steps 3–5.
When all additional transmitters
are programmed, press and hold
the START button for
approximately 12 seconds to exit
programming mode.

Programming without a
Recognized Transmitter (Keyless
Access Vehicles Only)
If there are no currently recognized
transmitters available, follow this
procedure to program up to eight
transmitters. This feature is not
available in Canada. This procedure
will take approximately 30 minutes
to complete. The vehicle must be off
and all of the transmitters to be
programmed must be with you.
1. Remove the key lock cylindercap. See Door Locks on
page 2‑10. Insert the vehicle key
into the key lock cylinder located
on the driver door handle; then
turn the key counterclockwise, to
the unlock position five times
within 10 seconds.
The Driver Information Center
(DIC) displays REMOTE LEARN
PENDING, PLEASE WAIT. 2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC
displays PRESS ENGINE
START BUTTON TO LEARN,
then press the START button.
The DIC display will again show
REMOTE LEARN PENDING,
PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time all
previously known transmitters
will no longer work with the
vehicle. Remaining transmitters
can be relearned during the next
steps.
The DIC display should now
show READY FOR REMOTE
# 1.
4. Place the new transmitter in the
transmitter pocket. The
transmitter pocket is inside the
center console storage area
located between the driver and
front passenger seats. The
storage area will need to be
opened to access the transmitter
pocket.
5. Press the START button. When the transmitter is learned, the
DIC display will show that it is
ready to program the next
transmitter.

orQon the transmitter.
To program additional

When all additional transmitters
are programmed, press and hold
the START button for
approximately 12 seconds to exit
programming mode.
Starting the Vehicle with a Low
Transmitter Battery
If the transmitter battery is weak,
or if there is interference with the
signal, the DIC may display a
message when you try to start the
vehicle. See Key and Lock
Messages on page 5‑38.
To start the vehicle:
1. Open the center console storage area and the storage tray.
2. Place the transmitter in thetransmitter pocket.
3. With the vehicle in P (Park) or N (Neutral), press the brake
pedal and the START button.
Replace the transmitter battery
as soon as possible.
Battery Replacement
Notice: When replacing the
battery, do not touch any of the
circuitry on the transmitter. Static
from your body could damage the
transmitter. Replace the battery if the REPLACE
BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY
message displays in the DIC.
1. Press the button near the bottom
of the transmitter and pull the
key out.
2. Use the oval base of the keyblade to separate the two halves
of the transmitter.
3. Remove the old battery. Do not use a metal object.

Rear Heated Seat Buttons withRear Climate Controls Shown, Base Similar
If available, the buttons are on the
rear of the center console.
With the ignition in ON/RUN/START,
press
MorLto heat the left or right
outboard seat cushion and
seatback. On vehicles without rear
climate controls, an indicator light
on the button will turn on when the
heated seat is on. On vehicles with
rear climate controls, an indicator on
the climate control display appears
when this feature is on. On vehicles without rear climate
controls, press the button again to
turn this feature off. The light on the
button will turn off. On vehicles with
rear climate controls, this feature
turns on at the highest setting. With
each press of the button, the heated
seat changes to the next lower
setting, and then the off setting.
Three lights indicate the highest
setting, and one light indicates the
lowest.
Rear Seat
Pass-Through Door
Some vehicles have a rear seat
pass-through door in the center of
the rear seatback. Fold down the
center armrest and pull the latch to
open the door.
The pass-through door can be
locked or unlocked using the knob
on the back of the door. Open the
trunk to access the lock. Turn the
knob toward
Qto lock the door or
away from
Qto unlock the door.

Press to mute or unmute the
infotainment system.
SorT(Previous or Next): Press

Press the five-way control up or

SEL (Select): Press to select a
highlighted menu option.

Favorite): Press to go to the next
or previous favorite radio station or
CD/MP3 track.
x+ orx− (Volume): Press to
increase or decrease the volume.
Heated Steering Wheel
((Heated Steering Wheel): For
vehicles equipped with a heated
steering wheel, press to turn on or
off. A light next to the button
displays when the feature is
turned on.
The steering wheel takes about
three minutes to start heating.
Horn
Pressaon the steering wheel pad
to sound the horn.
Windshield Wiper/Washer
With the ignition in ACC/
ACCESSORY or ON/RUN/START,
move the windshield wiper lever to
select the wiper speed.
HI: Use for fast wipes.
LO: Use for slow wipes.

The wiper operations return to
normal when the transmission is no
longer in N (Neutral) or the vehicle
speed has increased.
nL(Windshield Washer): Pull
the windshield wiper lever toward
you to spray windshield washer fluid
and activate the wipers. The wipers
will continue until the lever is
released or the maximum wash time
is reached. When the windshield
wiper lever is released, additional
wipes may occur depending on how
long the windshield washer had
been activated. See Washer Fluid
on page 10‑17 for information on
filling the windshield washer fluid
reservoir.
{WARNING
In freezing weather, do not use
the washer until the windshield is
warmed. Otherwise the washer
fluid can form ice on the
windshield, blocking your vision.
Compass
The vehicle may have a compass
display on the Driver Information
Center (DIC). The compass receives
its heading and other information
from the Global Positioning
System (GPS) antenna,
StabiliTrak®, and vehicle speed
information.
The compass system is designed to
operate for a certain number of
miles or degrees of turn before
needing a signal from the GPS
satellites. When the compass
display shows CAL, drive the
vehicle for a short distance in an
open area where it can receive a
GPS signal. The compass system
will automatically determine when a
GPS signal is restored and provide
a heading again. See Compass
Messages on page 5‑35 for the
messages that may be displayed for
the compass.
Clock
The infotainment system controls
are used to access the time and
date settings through the menu
system. See “Home Page” under
Infotainment in the infotainment
manual for information about how to
use the menu system.
Setting the Time
To set the time:
1. From the Home Page, press the SETTINGS screen button and
press Time and Date.
2. Press Set Time and press + or −
to increase or decrease hours,
minutes, and AM or PM. Press
12Hr or 24Hr for 12 or 24 hour
clock.
3. Press
}to go back to the
previous menu.

To set the date:

2. Press Clock Display and press OFF or ON to turn the clock
display off or on.

Power Outlets
The accessory power outlets can be
used to plug in electrical equipment,
such as a cell phone or MP3 player. The vehicle has three accessory
power outlets:
.Inside the front storage area
below the climate control
system.
.Inside the center console.
.On the rear of the center
console.
Lift the cover to access the
accessory power outlet.
Certain accessory power plugs may
not be compatible with the
accessory power outlet and could
overload vehicle or adapter fuses.
If a problem is experienced, see
your dealer.
When adding electrical equipment,
be sure to follow the proper
installation instructions included with
the equipment. See Add-On
Electrical Equipment on page 9‑65.
Notice: Hanging heavy
equipment from the power outlet
can cause damage not covered
by the vehicle warranty. The power outlets are designed for
accessory power plugs only, such
as cell phone charge cords.
Power Outlet 110 Volt
Alternating Current
The vehicle may have a power
outlet on the rear of the center
console. It can be used to plug in
electrical equipment that uses a
maximum limit of 150 watts.
An indicator light on the outlet turns
on to show it is in use. The light
comes on when the ignition is in
ON/RUN and equipment requiring
