Basic Operation
Your audio system works when the
ignition switch is in the “ACC” or
“ON” position.
NOTICE
To avoid draining the battery,
do not leave the car audio on
longer than necessary when the
engine is not running.
1 POWERPress to turn the unit on or off.
2 ROTARY ENCODER/VOLUMETurn the ROTARY ENCODER to raise/lower the volume levels (total volume step is 64). ROTARY ENCODER operation varies depend-ing on the audio source or Menu. (Refer to page 7.)To select the following set-ting options, press the ROTARY ENCODER to switch to the AUDIO MENU. Turn the ROTARY ENCODER clockwise or counterclockwise to select an item and press the ROTARY ENCODER. You can select SET TINGS in TUNER mode or iPod mode.

Editing the Text
The SETUP menu will be
displayed when ROTARY
ENCODER is held down while the
power is in “OFF” position. Turn
the ROTARY ENCODER to select
the OPENING. You can enter the
character at the flashing cursor
position. The character selection
method is described below.
1 Enter the character to PRESET1,
2 and 3. Turn the ROTARY
ENCODER right or left to select
the character, and press the
RIGHT or LEFT to move the
cursor.
• PRESET1: Alphabet input (A-Z)
• PRESET2: Number
• PRESET3: Space, Deletion
2 After selecting the character,
press the ROTARY ENCODER
right. The cursor moves to the
right, so you can edit the next
character.
(Maximum number of characters
for entry is 12.)
To choose and delete the
character or text, choose the
character with the cursor and then
press PRESET3 to delete.

After character entry, press the
ROTARY ENCODER to register
the text string.
If the cursor is positioned on the
12th character, press the RIGHT
to register the whole text entered.
New Message Display
The next time the ACC is
switched on, the text edited by
the user will be displayed.
