Connecting the iPod
Connect the USB connector.
Connect the iPod as indicated
in the figure below using a USB
cable.
Push the Dock connector into the
Dock connector port until you
hear a click to connect firmly. If it
does not go in smoothly, it may be
upside down so do not force it in as
this may result in damage.

When connecting the iPod, remove
a headphone cable from the iPod.
When connecting the iPod, it is
recommended to use a separately
purchased car kit.

It is recommended to use a USB cable which
satisfies USB 2.0 standards.

You cannot use the iPod's
remotecontrol at the same time.
You may hear noise if you
disconnect during iPod playback.

4 RIGHT (TRACK ,
CHAPTER)Press to proceed to the next track or chapter. Press and hold to the right until you hear a beep. Playing of the track is fast forwarded.
5 LEFT (TRACK ,
CHAPTER )Press to takes you back to the begin-ning of the track currently playing or previous chapter.
Press to return to the previous track or chapter once more.Press and hold until you hear a beep. Playing of the track is reversed.
6 PRESET1 (PLAY/PAUSE)To pause the track, press PRESET 1 while the track is playing. Press again to resume playing.
7 PRESET5 (Random)If you press this, is indicated in the display. This unit starts to play tracks on the iPod being played in random order.Pressing PRESET5 repeatedly switches between the contents of random and Off.The random changes as follows:Track Shuffle Album Shuffle Off Press and hold PRESET5 to set Shuffle all.
8 PRESET6 (Repeat)
If you press this, and is indi-cated in the display. This unit starts to repeat the track being played. Press again to cancel.
9 TEXTText information recorded on the iPod can be displayed.Up to 16 characters can be displayed at once.Press and display indications change as follows:

When d is displayed, if you press and hold until you hear a beep, the display will changes. A maximum of 2 pages (24 characters) can be dis-played.
NOTICE
You cannot use the iPod’s
remote control at the same
time.

The SCAN operation is not
available when listening to
the iPod.
