\fodel)
Thi\b indicator appear\b when the \belector lever i\b in the
“P” (Park) po\bition.
Thi\b indicator \fean\b that the engine will \btart by
pu\bhing the ignition \bwitch with the brake pedal
depre\b\bed. You can \btart the engine directly in any
po\bition.
2. Steering lock relea\be \falfunction indicator
Thi\b indicator appear\b when the \bteering wheel cannot
be relea\bed fro\f the “LOCK” po\bition.
If thi\b indicator appear\b, pu\bh the ignition \bwitch while
lightly turning the \bteering wheel right and left.

WARNINGS AND ALERTS

This warning appears when the vehicle speed is above
7 \bm/h (4 MPH) and the par\bing bra\be is applied\f
2\f Low fuel warning
This warning appears when the fuel level in the tan\b is
getting low\f Refuel as soon as it is convenient, before
the fuel gauge reaches the empty (0) position\f
There is a small reserve of fuel remaining in the
tank when the fuel gauge reaches the empty (0)
position.
3\f Door/bac\b door open warning (ignition
switch is in the ON position)
This warning appears if any of the doors or the bac\b
door is open or not closed securely\f The vehicle icon
indicates which door is open on the display\f Ma\be sure
that all of the doors and the bac\b door are closed\f
4\f “Time to rest” indicator
This indicator appears when the set “time to rest”
indicator activates\f You can set the time for up to 6

5\f Low outside temperature warning
This warning appears if the outside temperature is 38C
or below\f The warning can be set not to be displayed\f

When the ignition switch is in the “ON” position, the
seat belt warning light illuminates\f The light will
continue to illuminate until the front seat belt is

the light will blin\b and the chime will sound unless the
front seat belt is securely fastened\f The chime will

Speed:
The average speed mode shows the average vehi\fle
speed sin\fe the last reset. Resetting is done by
pushing the
swit\fh*Bfor longer than 1 se\fond.
(The average fuel \fonsumption is also reset at the
same time.)
The display is updated every 30 se\fonds. The first 30
se\fonds after a reset, the display shows “——”.
Elapsed time and trip odometer (km or
MILES)

Elapsed time:
The elapsed time mode shows the time sin\fe the last
reset. The displayed time \fan be reset by pushing the
swit\fh*Bfor longer than 1 se\fond. (The trip
odometer is also reset at the same time.)
Trip odometer (if equipped) :
The trip odometer mode shows the distan\fe that the
vehi\fle has been driven sin\fe the last reset. Resetting
is done by pushing the
swit\fh*Bfor longer than
1 se\fond. (The elapsed time is also reset at the same
time.)
Distan\fe to empty (km or MILES)

The distan\fe to empty (dte) mode provides you with an
estimation of the distan\fe that \fan be driven before
refueling. The dte is \fonstantly being \fal\fulated, based
on the amount of fuel in the fuel tank and the a\ftual fuel
\fonsumption.
The display is updated every 30 se\fonds.
The dte mode in\fludes a low range warning feature. If
the fuel level is low, the warning is displayed on the
s\freen.
When the fuel level drops even lower, the dte display
will \fhange to “——”.
. If the amount of fuel added is small, the
display just before the ignition switch is
pushed to the “OFF”position may continue
to be displayed.
. When driving uphill or rounding curves, the
fuel in the tank shifts, which may momenta-
rily change the display.
Outside air temperature (8C) (if equipped)

The outside air temperature is displayed in 8C in the
range of í30 to 608C.
The outside air temperature mode in\fludes a low
temperature warning feature. If the outside air tem-
perature is 38 C or below, the warning “ICY” is
displayed on the s\freen.
The outside temperature sensor is lo\fated in front of
the radiator. The sensor may be affe\fted by road or
engine heat, wind dire\ftions and other driving \fondi-
tions. The display may differ from the a\ftual outside
temperature or the temperature displayed on various
signs or billboards.

The Current saved fuel consumption mode shows the

Accumulated time (Type B):
The Accumulated time mode shows the accumulated
time Idling \btop \bystem has \feen operated since the
time the ignition switch was turned ON.
Resetting is done \fy pushing the

the same time.)
Current saved fuel consumption (Type B):
The Current saved fuel consumption mode shows the
current saved fuel consumption \fy Idling \btop \bystem
has \feen operated since the time the ignition switch

stopped” is also displayed on the vehicle
information display.

The [Trip Saving] value is the same information
that is displayed when the engine is automati-
cally stopped by the Stop/Start System.
Total Saving \bType B)
The Total Saving mode shows:
. The estimated CO2 exhaust emissions prevented.
. The time that the engine has \feen stopped \fy the
Stop/Start System.
NOTE:
The [Total Saving] values cannot be reset and
show accumulated Stop/Start System informa-
tion since the vehicle was built.
HEADLIGHT SWITCH

SIC3783Type BRENAULT recommends that you consult the local
regulations concerning the use of lights.
AUTO position \bif equipped)
When the ignition switch is in the “ON” position and
the headlight switch is in the “AUTO” position, the
headlights, front clearance lights, instrument panel
lights, rear com\fination light, and other lights turn on
automatically depending on the \frightness of the
surroundings.
The headlights will turn on automatically at twilight or in rainy weather \bwhen the windshield wiper is operated
continuously) \bfor Hong Kong) .
When the ignition switch is turned to the “OFF”
position, the lights will turn off automatically.

Do not place any objects on top of the sensor*A. The sensor senses the brightness level and
controls the autolight function. If the sensor is
covered, it reacts as if it is dark, and the
headlights will illuminate.

3. Pull up and hold the driver\fs window switch toclose the driver\fs window. \bold the switch for
approximately 3 seconds after the window has
been fully closed, and then release it.
4. Check if the power window functions operate properly.
If you open or close the power window continuously, it
may cause the power window not to operate properly.
Perform the above procedure.
If the power window functions do not operate properly
after performing the above procedure, repeat the
steps. See a RENAULT dealer, if necessary, for
checking the power window system.WARNING:
Never allow hands, fingers, or any part of your
body within operating range of the sunshade.
You could be injured.
CAUTION:
. Do not place any heavy objects on the roof
glass or surrounding area.
. Do not hang from the sunshade and/or the
sunshade opening or hang any objects from
it. It may cause damage or deformation to
the sunshade.
. Close the sunshade when you leave the
vehicle for extended periods of time to
prevent the inside of the vehicle from reach-
ing high temperatures.

To open the sunshade, slide it toward the rear of the
vehicle
*1. To close, slide the sunshade toward the
front of the vehicle*2. If the battery cable is disconnected, the clock will reset
its time and the correct time will not be indicated.

ADJUSTING TIME

when the ignition switch is in the “ON” position.
To display the clock, push the adjusting knob

The hours display will start to flash.
2. Push the clock adjusting knob

To advance the time, hold down the knob

The selected values \bill be stored if no user input is
detected for 60 seconds, or can be reset by using the
adjusting knob.

such as cellular telephone.
CAUTION:
. The outlet and plug may be hot during or
immediately after use.
. This power outlet is not designed for use
with a cigarette lighter unit.
. Do not use with accessories that exceed a 12
volt, 120W (10A) power draw. Do not use
double adapters or more than one electrical
accessory.
. Use power outlets with the engine running
to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
. Avoid using power outlets when the air
conditioner, headlights or rear window de-
fogger is on.
. Before inserting or disconnecting a plug, be
sure to turn off the power switch of electrical
accessory being used and the ignition
switch.
. Push the plug in as far as it will go. If good
contact is not made, the plug may overheat
or the internal temperature fuse may open. .
Do not allow water to contact the outlet.
. When not in use, be sure to close the cap.
