workshop.

To close
To clos e the lug gage compartme nt lid ,
stand behind the ve hicle and, with two
hands laid flat on the s urface of the lid,
close the lid with a swift, firm m otion.If the luggage comp artm ent lid is ope n or
i s n o t cl o s ed p r op er l y, "TRUNK AJAR" will
appea r in the drive r inform ation ce ntre
when the ig nition is on. Control indicator
s also illuminate s in the instrument

The re mote control has both a v ehicle
locator and a panic alarm fe ature,
activa ted v ia button U.
To aid location of the vehicle, e.g. when the
ve hicle is park ed in a car park, pres s and
re le ase b utton U; the horn will sound
three times and the hazard warning lamps
and c ourte sy lamps will flas h thre e tim es .
To activa te the panic alarm, pres s and
hold the button for 3 se conds; the horn will
s ound and the hazard w arning lam ps and
courtes y lam ps will flash for 3 0 se conds.
Press button U a gain to sw itc h off the
panic alarm, or turn ke y in ignition s witch to
pos ition ACC or I.
The vehicle locator and panic a la rm

Exterio r mirrors
Adjust us ing the switches in the driver’s
door. S elec t rele vant ex terior mirror and
adjus t.For the safe ty of pe destrians, the e xterior
mirrors will s wing out of their normal
mounting position if the y are bumped w ith
sufficient force. Reposition the mirror by
applying s light pres s ure to the m irror
ho u s i ng .
Interio r mirror
To adjust, swive l the mirror housing.
S wivel lever on underside of m irror housing
to re duce d azzle at night.
Take care when driving with interior mirror
adjus ted for night vision. Re ar v iew may be
s lightly dis torte d in this position.

door is opened.The drive r’s and pas se nger’s window are
op erated via the switches located in the
driver’s door handle.
For increm ental ope ra tion, briefly pull or
pres s the s witch. To ope n or close fully , pull
or press the switch for longer.
For automatic ope ning , pre ss the switch
down fully . Pull the s witch to s top the
movem ent.
In the e vent of difficulty due to frost or
the like , pre ss the re lev ant wind ow sw itc h
several tim es until the window is closed.The pass e nge r’s window is operate d via a
switch in the door handle.
F or inc re me nta l operation, brie fly pull or
press the switch. To open or close fully, pull
or pre ss the switch for longer.
