XWith wiper arms in vertical position, turn
the SmartKey in the starter switch to
position 0.
XRemove the SmartKey from the starter
switch.
Vehicles with KEYLESS-GO
XTurn off the engine.
With the driver’s door closed, the starter
switch is now in position 1.
XTurn the combination switch to wiper
setting °.
XWith wiper arms in vertical position, open
the driver’s door.
The starter switch is set to position 0, same
as the SmartKey removed from the starter
switch.
XTurn the combination switch to wiper
setting $.
Removing wiper blades
Front wiper blades
! Do not pull on the wiper blade inserts.
They could tear.
XFold the wiper arms forward until they
engage.
XTurn the wiper blade at a right angle to
wiper arm.
XSlide the wiper blade sideways out of the
retainer.
Rear wiper blade
! Do not pull on the wiper blade insert. It
could tear.
XFold wiper arm : away from the rear
window until it engages.
XTurn wiper blade ; as far as it will go.XHold wiper arm : and disengage wiper
blade ; by carefully sliding it in direction
of arrow.
XRemove wiper blade ;.
Installing wiper blades
Front wiper blades
XSlide the wiper blade onto wiper arm in
opposite direction of arrow (Y page 311).
XRotate the wiper blade into position parallel
to the wiper arm.
XFold the wiper arm backward to rest on the
windshield.
Make sure you hold on to the wiper when
folding the wiper arm back.
! Make sure the wiper blades are installed
properly. Improperly installed wiper blades
may cause windshield damage.
