B010B01A-AAT What About Gasohol? Gasohol (a mixture of 90% unleaded gasoline and 10% ethanol or grain alco-hol) may be used in your Hyundai. However, if your engine develops driveability problems, the use of 100%unleaded gasoline is recommended. Fuels with unspecified quantities of alcohol, or alcohols other than ethanol, should not be used. B010D01S-AAT Do not Use Methanol Fuels containing methanol (wood alco- hol) should not be used in your Hyundai. This type of fuel can reduce vehicleperformance and damage components of the fuel system.
CAUTION:
Your Hyundai's New Vehicle LimitedWarranty may not cover damage to the fuel system and performanceproblems that are caused by the use of methanol or fuels containing methanol.
! B010E01A-AAT Gasolines for Cleaner Air To help contribute to cleaner air, Hyundai recommends that you use gasolinestreated with detergent additives, which help prevent deposit formation in the engine. These gasolines will help theengine run cleaner and enhance perfor- mance of the Emission Control Sys- tem. B010F01A-AAT Operation in Foreign Countries If you are going to drive your Hyundai in another country, be sure to:
o Observe all regulations regarding reg-
istration and insurance.
o Determine that acceptable fuel is available.
! CAUTION:
o Never use any fuel, whether diesel or B5 biodiesel that fails to meet the latest petroleum industry speci-fication.
o Never use any fuel additives or
treatments that are not recom-mended or approved by the ve- hicle manufacturer.

B260N01MC-GATMalfunction Indicator Light (If Installed)
This light illuminates when there is a malfunction of an exhaust gas relatedcomponent, and the system is not func- tioning properly so that the exha ust gas
regulation values are not satisfied. This light will also illuminate when the ignition
key is turned to the "ON" position, and then it will go out in a few seconds after
the engine is started. If it illuminates
while driving, or does not illuminate whenthe ignition key is turned to the "ON"position, take your car to your nearest authorized Hyundai dealer and have the system checked.
B260M01A-AAT Low Fuel Level Warning Light
The low fuel level warning light comes on when the fuel tank is approaching empty. When it comes on, you shouldadd fuel as soon as possible. Driving with the fuel level warning light on or with the fuel level below "E" can causethe engine to misfire and damage the catalytic converter.
B260K01MC-AAT Trunk Lid/Tail Gate
Open Warning Light
This light remains on unless the trunk lid/tail gate is completely closed and latched.B260L01A-GAT Door Ajar Warning Light
The door ajar warning light warns you that a door is not completely closed.
B260L02HP-GAT Door Ajar Warning Light and Chime (Mideast only)

Engine Coolant Tempera-
ture Warning Light
WARNING:
Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. The engine coolant is under pressure and could eruptand cause severe burns. Wait until the engine is cool before removing the radiator cap.
!
This warning light shows the tempera- ture of the engine coolant when the ignition switch is ON. The warning lightilluminates if the temperature of the engine coolant is above 123±3°C (253.4±5.4°F).If the warning light illuminates, pull over and stop as soon as possible and turn off the engine. Then open the hood andcheck the coolant level (See "If the engine overheats" on the page 3-4.) and the water pump drive belt. If you sus-pect cooling system trouble, have your cooling system checked by a Hyundai dealer as soon as possible. NOTE: If the engine coolant temperature warning light illuminates, it indicatesoverheating that may damage the engine.
CAUTION:
o Prolonged driving with the Emis- sion Control System MalfunctionIndicator Light illuminated may cause damage to the emissioncontrol systems which could ef- fect drivability or fuel economy. If the Emission Control SystemMalfunction Indicator Light be- gins to flash ON and OFF, poten- tial catalytic converter damage ispossible. This could result in loss of engine power. Have the Engine Control System inspected as soonas possible by an authorized Hyundai dealer (Gasoline Engine).
o In case the injection quantity ad- justment related error occurred, the Emission Control System Mal- function Indicator Light begins toflash ON and OFF. Continuous driving with this status could re- sult in abnormal engine powerloss (or power increase), com- bustion noise and poor emission. If this occurs, have your vehiclechecked by an authorized Hyundai dealer (Diesel Engine).

B265A01MC-GATFuel Filter Warning Light (Diesel Engine)
This warning light illuminates for 6 sec- onds after the ignition switch is set tothe "ON" position or after the engine is started, it will go out. If it lights up while the engine is running, it indicates thatwater has accumulated inside the fuel filter. If this happens, remove the water from the fuel filter. (Refer to "6-25 page")
B260S01MC-GAT
Diesel Preheat Indicator Light
The indicator light illuminates amber when the ignition switch is placed at the"ON" position. The engine can be started after the preheat indicator light goes off. The illuminating time varies with thewater temperature, air temperature and battery condition. NOTE: If the engine were not started within 10 seconds after the preheating is completed, turn the ignition key once more to the "LOCK" position, andthen to the "ON" position, in order to preheat again.
! CAUTION:
If the preheat indicator light contin- ues to illuminate or flash on and off after the engine has warmed up orwhile driving, check the system by an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon as possible.
! CAUTION:
When the fuel filter warning light is illuminated, engine power (vehicle speed & idle speed) may decrease. If you keep driving with the warninglight on, you can damage your vehicle's engine parts and injection system of the Common Rail. If thisoccurs, have your vehicle checked by an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon as possible. B900A01A-GAT ACOUSTIC WARNING SOUND (If Installed) The acoustic warning chime sounds when the tail lights are on and the door in driver side is open. This prevents thebattery from discharging when the car is left with the tail lights on. The chime sounds until the tail lights are turned off.
SB210U1-G OVER SPEED WARNING BUZZER (If Installed) When the car speed is in excess of 120 km/h (75 mph), a buzzer will sound to warn you.
SB215U1-G
Overspeed warning light (If Installed)
If you drive with the speed of 120 km/h or more, the overspeed warning lightwill blink. This is to prevent you from driving your vehicle with overspeed.

The sound may come and go or be heard all the time when the vehicle is moving. It mayalso be heard when the brake pedal is pushed down firmly. Excessive rotor damage will result if the worn pads arenot replaced. See your Hyundai dealer immediately.
