Reactivation
In bad weather or in winter, ensure
that the sensors are not covered
with mud, ice or snow. When re-
verse gear is engaged, an audible
signal (long beep) indicates that the
sensors may be dirty.
When the speed of the vehicle is
below about 6 mph (10 km/h), some
sources of noise (motorcycle, lorry,
pneumatic drill, ...) may trigger the
audible parking sensor signals.
Press button A again, the warn-
ing lamp switches off, the system
is reactivated.
"HYDRACTIVE III +" ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION
The suspension automatically and
instantly adjusts to different driving
s t y l e s a n d t o t h e p r o fi l e o f t h e r o a d ,
providing the best compromise be-
tween occupant comfort and vehicle
road holding.
The system alternates between soft
a n d fi r m s u s p e n s i o n s e t t i n g s , m a x i -
mising comfort at the same time as
constantly ensuring the highest level
of safety. It also automatically cor-
rects ride height, according to the
vehicle load and driving conditions.
In addition, the "Hydractive III +" sys-
tem allows you to choose between
two modes of suspension.
A change of suspension mode can
be made either when the vehicle is
moving or when stationary, by press-
ing button A . Display on the instrument
panel
The suspension mode selected is
displayed on the instrument panel
screen.
Normal mode
This mode favours soft
d a m p i n g f o r m a x i m u m c o m -
fort.
If the speed authorised for a
p a r t i c u l a r p o s i t i o n i s e x c e e d -
ed, the vehicle reverts automatically
to the normal road position.
SPORT mode
This mode favours dynamic
driving.
The warning lamp on but-
ton A comes on in addition
to the message on the in-
strument panel screen.
SPORT mode is retained when you
switch off the engine.

Vehicle positions
Maximum height
Changing a wheel (not possible if
speed > 6mph (10km/h)).
Intermediate position
For increased ground clearance (not
possible if speed > 25 mph (40 km/h)).
F o r u s e o n d i f fi c u l t r o a d s w h e n t r a -
velling at reduced speed, as well as
on car park ramps.
Position changes may only be
made when the engine is running.
The adjustable ground clearance
meets all types of situation. Apart
f r o m a f e w s p e c i fi c s i t u a t i o n s , t h e
vehicle should be in the Normal po-
sition.
Press once on one of the adjust-
ment controls.
The change in position is indicated
by a message on the instrument
panel screen.
Normal position
If the speed authorised for a particu-
l a r p o s i t i o n i s e x c e e d e d , t h e v e h i c l e
reverts automatically to the normal
position.
Minimum height
To facilitate loading or unloading the
vehicle.
For workshop inspections.
Not to be used in normal driving (not
possible if speed > 6mph (10km/h)).
