REAR PARKING SENSORS
S y s t e m c o m p r i s i n g f o u r p r o x i m i t y s e n -
sors, located in the rear bumper.
This detects obstacles (person, vehicle,
t r e e , g a t e , e t c . ) b e h i n d t h e v e h i c l e . H o w -
ever, it cannot detect obstacles located
just below the bumper. An object, such as a stake, a road-
works cone or any other similar
object may be detected at the be-
ginning of the manoeuvre, but may
no longer be detected when the
vehicle comes close to it. Activation
The system is activated as soon as re-
verse gear is engaged, accompanied
b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l . T h e p r o x i m i t y i n -
f o r m a t i o n i s g i v e n b y :
- an audible signal, which becomes
more rapid as the vehicle approach-
es the obstacle,
- a graphic in the multifunction screen, with blocks which become increas-
ingly closer to the vehicle. The parking sensors system cannot,
in any circumstances, take the place
of the vigilance and responsibility of
the driver.
Detection zone
When the distance between the rear of
the vehicle and the obstacle is less than
thirty centimetres, the audible signal be-
comes continuous and the "Danger" sym-
bol appears in the multifunction screen.
On completion of the manoeuvre, when
y o u e x i t r e v e r s e g e a r , t h e s y s t e m b e -
comes inactive.

Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it
d o e s n o t b l o c k t r a f fi c : t h e g r o u n d
must be level, stable and non-
slippery.
Apply the parking brake, switch off
t h e i g n i t i o n a n d e n g a g e fi r s t g e a r t o
lock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under
the wheel diagonally opposite the
wheel to be changed.
You must ensure that the occu-
pants get out of the vehicle and
wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle
r a i s e d u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e
stand.
Removing the wheel
List of operations
Remove the chromed bolt cover from
each of the bolts using the tool 3 (with
a l l o w w h e e l s o n l y ) .
Fit the security socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to slacken the security
b o l t ( i f y o u r v e h i c l e h a s t h e m ) .
Slacken the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
provided on the underbody, which-
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
is in contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
Raise the vehicle until there is suf-
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
p u n c t u r e d ) w h e e l e a s i l y .
Remove the bolts and store them in
a clean place.
Remove the wheel.
