DRIVING
Operating fault Maintenance
In the event of a malfunction with the
system, the "ECO OFF" switch warning
lamp fl ashes, then comes on continu-
ously.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer
or a qualifi ed workshop.
In the event of a fault in STOP mode,
the vehicle may stall. It is then neces-
sary to switch off the ignition and start
the engine again using the key. Before working under the bon-
net, deactivate the Stop & Start
system to avoid any risk of injury
resulting from automatic opera-
tion of START mode.
The Stop & Start system makes
use of advanced technology.
All work on this battery must be
done by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop.
This system requires a battery with a
special specifi cation and technology
(reference numbers available from a
CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed work-
shop).
Fitting a battery not listed by CITROËN
introduces the risk of malfunction of the
system.

DRIVING
The system will be deactivated
automatically when towing a
trailer or when a bicycle carrier is
fi tted (vehicle fi tted with a towbar
or bicycle carrier recommended
by CITROËN). In bad or wintry weather, ensure
that the sensors are not covered
with mud, frost or snow.
Programming
You can activate or deactivate the
system by means of the multifunction
screen confi guration menu. The system
state is memorised when switching off
the ignition.
For more information on access to
the parking sensors menu, refer to
"Confi guration/Vehicle parameters" in
the "Multifunction screens" section cor-
responding to your screen.
Operating faults
If there is an operating fault,
when reverse gear is engaged
this warning lamp comes on in
the instrument panel, accompanied by an
audible signal (short beep) and a message in the multifunction screen.

Brake pads
Brake wear depends on the
style of driving, particularly in
the case of vehicles used in
town, over short distances. It
may be necessary to have the
condition of the brakes checked, even
between vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the system, a
drop in the brake fl uid level indicates
that the brake pads are worn. Brake disc wear

fi ed workshop.
Manual parking brake
If a loss of effectiveness of this system is noticed, the parking
brake must be checked, even
between two services.
Checking this system must be done by
a CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed work-
shop.
Only use products recommend-
ed by CITROËN or products of
equivalent quality and specifi ca-
tion.
In order to optimise the opera-
tion of units as important as the
braking system, CITROËN se-
lects and offers very specifi c
products.
To avoid damaging the electrical
units, the use of a high pressure
washer in the engine compart-
ment is strictly prohibited .
Particle emission filter (Diesel)
According to your version of instrument
panel, the start of saturation of the par-
ticle emissions fi lter is indicated by:
Following prolonged operation of the vehicle at very low speed or
at idle, you may, in exceptional
circumstances, notice the emis-
sion of water vapour at the ex-
haust on acceleration. This does
not affect the behaviour of the
vehicle or the environment.

fi xed illumination of the par-
ticle emissions fi lter warning
lamp, accompanied by an

As soon as the traffi c conditions per-
mit, regenerate the fi lter by driving at a
speed of at least 40 mph (60 km/h) until
the warning lamp goes off.
If the warning lamp stays on, refer to the
"Additive level" section. SensoDrive gearbox The gearbox does not require any
maintenance (no oil change).
