Caution regarding interfer ence with electronic devices
● People with implanted pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators should keep
away from the smart key system antennas. ( P. 28) The radio waves may
affect the operation of such devices. If necessary, the smart entry function
can be disabled. Ask your Toyota dealer for details, such as the frequency
of radio waves and timing of emitting the radio waves. Then, consult your
doctor to see if you should disable the smart entry function.
● Users of any electrical medical device other than implanted pacemakers
and implanted cardiac defibrillators should consult the manufacturer of the
device for information about its operation under the influence of radio
waves. Radio waves could have unexpected effects on the operation of
such medical devices.
Ask your Toyota dealer for details for disabling the smart key system.

The door cannot be locked if the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in
ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode, or the electronic key is left

■ Impact detection door lock release system
In the event that the vehicle is subject to a strong impact, all the doors are
unlocked.
Depending on the force of the impact or the type of accident, however, the
system may not operate.

Release method
The belt can be completely released when not required, such as
when removing the third seat.
To release the hooked tab, insert
the mechanical key into the hole

The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even
after the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned ACCESSORY mode or
turned OFF. They cannot, however, be operated once the driver’s or front
passenger’s door is opened.
■ Jam protection function
If an object becomes caught between the window and the window frame,
window travel is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
