REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
aLock the airbag computer using the Diagnostic tool
(see Fault finding - Replacement of components)
(MR 413, 88C, Airbags and pretensioners).
aDisconnect the battery (see ) (MR 411, 80A, Bat-
tery).
aUnclip the upper storage compartment (1) on the
driver's side using the (Car. 1363).
aRemove the passenger's front airbag (see Passen-
ger's frontal airbag: Removal - Refitting) (MR
411, 88C, Airbags and seat belt pretensioners).aRemove the instrument panel (see Instrument pan-
el: Removal - Refitting) (MR 411, 83A, Instrument
panel).
aUnclip the "trim - air vent" assembly.
aDisconnect the hazard warning lights switch connec-
tor. Special tooling required
Car. 1363Set of tr im removal levers.

CONCERNED
aDisconnect the connector (3) from the blower unit
control unit on the left-hand side.
aRemove:
-the blower unit control unit bolts (4) ,
-the blower unit control unit.aDisconnect the connector (5) from the blower unit
control unit on the right-hand side.
aMove the electrical wiring (6) away from the fan as-

REFITTING

-the bolts to the blower unit control unit.
aFit the fan assembly control unit electrical wiring.
aConnect the blower unit control unit connector.
aRefit:
-the blower unit control unit,
-the bolts to the blower unit control unit.aConnect the blower unit control unit connector.
II - FINAL OPERATION.
aConnect the hazard warning lights switch connector.
aClip on the "trim - air vent" assembly.
aRefit the instrument panel (see Instrument panel:
Removal - Refitting) (MR 411, 83A, Instrument
panel).
aRefit the passenger's front airbag (see Passenger's
frontal airbag: Removal - Refitting) (MR 411, 88C,
Airbags and seat belt pretensioners).
aClip on the upper storage compartment on the driv-
er’s side.

aUnlock the airbag computer using the Diagnostic

aDisconnect the connector (2) from the recirculation
motor.
aRemove:
-the bolts (3) from the recirculation motor,
-the recirculation motor.
REFITTING

aRefit:
-the recirculation motor,
-the recirculation motor bolts.
aConnect the recirculation motor connector.
II - FINAL OPERATION
aRefit the front left-hand side air distribution duct (see
61A, Heating, Front side air distribution duct:
Removal - Refitting, page 61A-7) .
aClip on the upper storage compartment on the driv-
