o The driver's and front passenger's doors can be opened by pulling the inside door handle even if the front portion of the driver's or front passenger's (if installed) centraldoor locking switch has been de- pressed to lock the doors.
o If the door is locked/unlocked mul- tiple times in rapid successionwith either the vehicle key or door lock switch, the system may stopoperating temporarily in order to protect the circuit and prevent damage to system components.
B040G02NF-AAT Central Door Locks (If Installed) The central door locking switch is lo- cated on the driver's and frontpassenger's (if installed) armrest. It is operated by depressing the door lock switch. If any door is open when theswitch is depressed to the "LOCK" position, the door will remain locked when closed. NOTE:
o When pushing the front portion of
the driver's or front passenger's (if installed) door lock switch, all vehicle doors will lock.
o When pushing the rear portion of these switches, all vehicle doorswill unlock.

This system is operated in three stages: the first is the "Armed" stage, the second is the "Alarm" stage,and the third is the "Disarmed" stage. If triggered, the system provides an au- dible alarm with blinking of the turnsignal lights. B070B01CM-DAT Armed Stage Park the car and stop the engine. Arm the system as described below.
WARNING:
Be careful not to pull the inside doorhandle while driving. If you pull theinside door handle, the door can be opened and you may be ejected from the vehicle and can be injured orkilled.

B070C01O-DAT Alarm Stage The alarm will be activated if any of the following occurs while the car is parkedand the system is armed.
1) A front or rear door is opened without
using the transmitter.
2) The tail gate is opened without using
the transmitter.
3) The engine bonnet is opened.The siren will sound and the turn signal lights will blink continuously for 27 sec- onds. To turn off the system, unlock the door or tail gate with the transmitter.
CAUTION:
Avoid trying to start the engine whilethe system is armed.
! CAUTION:
Do not arm the system until all pas- sengers have left the car. If the sys- tem is armed while a passenger(s)remains in the car, the alarm may be activated when the remaining passenger(s) leaves the car. If any door, tail gate or engine bonnet is opened within 30 seconds after enter- ing the armed stage, the system is disarmed to prevent unnecessary alarm.
1) Remove the ignition key from the
ignition switch.
2) Make sure that the engine bonnet and tail gate are closed and latched.
3) Lock the doors using the transmitter of the keyless entry system.
After completion of the steps above,the turn signal lights will blink once to indicate that the system is armed. However, if any door, tail gate or engine bonnet remains open, the hazard warn- ing lights are not operated. After this, ifall doors, tail gate and engine bonnet are closed, the hazard warning lights blink once.The system can be armed by locking the doors with the key. However, the hazard warning lights are not operated. NOTE: If any door, tail gate or engine bon- net remains open, the system will not be armed.If this happens, rearm the system as previously described.

B070D01CM-DAT Disarmed Stage The system will be disarmed when the driver's or passenger's door is unlocked by depressing the "
" button on the
transmitter. After completion of the step above, the turn signal lights will blink twice to indicate that the system is disarmed. NOTE: If any door, tail gate or engine bon- net is not opened within 30 seconds, the system will be rearmed.

! CAUTION:
Only the transmitter can disarm the armed stage. If the transmitter does not disarm the system, it is neces-sary to take the following steps;
1. Unlock the door with the key, which will cause, the alarm to be acti- vated.
2. Insert the key in the ignition key
cylinder and turn the ignition keyto "ON" position.
