With ‘‘WIPER SETUP’’ shown on the
multi-inf ormation display, press the
SEL/RESET button on the steering
wheel. The display changes to
‘‘FRONT WIPER ACTION’’ as
shown above.
You can select from these two
settings when the wiper switch is in
the INT (intermittent) position:
WITH VEH SPD The intermittent
operation varies according to vehicle
speed.
INTERMITTENT The
intermittent operation varies
according to the selection you make
on the wiper lever’s intermittent
control ring.
Press the SEL/RESET button. The
display changes as shown above.
Press the INFO button to select
‘‘WITH VEH SPD’’ or
‘‘INTERMITTENT,’’ and enter your
selection by pressing the SEL/
RESET button.

The def ogger wires on the inside of
the rear window can be accidentally
damaged. When cleaning the glass,
always wipe side-to-side.
Make sure the rear window is clear
and you have good visibility bef ore
starting to drive.
The rear window def ogger will clear
fog, frost, and thin ice from the
window. Push the def ogger button to
turn it on and off. The indicator in
the button comes on to show the
def ogger is on. It shuts of f when you
turn of f the ignition. You have to
turn the def ogger on again when you
restart the vehicle.
Push the button between the center
vents to turn on the hazard warning
lights (f our-way f lashers). This
causes all outside turn signals and
both indicators in the instrument
panel to f lash. Use the hazard
warning lights if you need to park in
a dangerous area near heavy traffic,
or if your vehicle is disabled.

twice to unlock the other doors and
the tailgate. Some exterior lights will
f lash twice each time you press the
button. If you do not open any door
orthetailgatewithin30seconds,
they will automatically relock. Press and hold this
button for about 1 second to attract
attention; the horn will sound, and
the exterior lights will f lash f or about
30 seconds. To cancel panic mode,
press any other button on the remote
transmitter, or turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position. Panic
mode does not work when the key is
in the ignition switch.

lock all doors and the tailgate. Some
exterior lights will f lash once. When
you push LOCK twice within 5
seconds, you will hear a beep to
verify that the security system has
set. You cannot lock the doors and
thetailgateif anydoororthetailgate

map lights, depending on their
switch positions, will come on (see
page ). If you do not open any
door, the lights stay on f or about 30

If it takes several pushes on the
button to lock or unlock the doors
and the tailgate, replace the battery
as soon as possible.
Battery type: CR1616
To replace the battery: Remove the screw at the base of
the transmitter with a small
Phillips-head screwdriver. Separate the transmitter by prying
its middle seam with your
f ingernail.
Inside the transmitter, separate
the inner cover f rom the keypad
by releasing the two tabs on the
cover.Remove the old battery from the
back of the inner cover, and note
the polarity. Make sure the
polarity of the new battery is the
same ( side f acing down), then
insert it into the back of the cover.
An improperly disposed of battery
can hurt the environment.
Always conf irm local regulations
for battery disposal.

button and the PASSENGER’S SIDE
SLIDING DOOR button at the sametime. The LED will blink once.
When you press the UNLOCK
button, the f ront and rear individual
map lights, depending on their
switch positions, will come on (see
page ). If you do not open any
door, the lights stay on f or about 30
seconds, then go out. If you relock
thedoorsandthetailgatewiththe
remote transmitter before 30
