4. Hold past OFF to turn the rearwindow wiper on and to spary the
rear window washer. The rear
window wiper makes one more
sweep after you release the switch.
When you shift the transmission to
the reverse position with the front
windshield wiper activated, the rear
wiper operates automatically even if
the rear wiper switch is off.
The rear window washer uses the

Checking and Replacing Fuses
If something electrical in your
vehicle stops working, check for a
blown fuse first. Determine from the
chart on pages309and310,or the
diagram on the fuse label, which fuse
or fuses control that device. Check
those fuses first, but check all the
fuses before deciding that a blown
fuse is the cause. Replace any blown
fuses, and check if the device works.
1. Turn the ignition switch to theLOCK (0) position. Make sure the
headlights and all other
accessories are off.
2. On the under-hood fuse box, remove the cover from the fuse
box. On the interior fuse box, pull
the fuse lid toward you.
3. Check each of the large fuses inthe under-hood fuse box and the
interior fuse box by looking
through the top at the wire inside.
4. Check all smaller fuses in theinterior fuse box by pulling out
each one with the fuse puller
provided in the interior fuse box.
