– Bodywork version code.

LPG FUEL SYSTEM
Electronic injection with special LPG injec-
tors.
Type: Multipoint phased sequential.
Stoichiometric metering of the air/gas mix-

The LPG injection system is controlled by
a dedicated control unit (connected to the

ply/stop specifications, tank not com-
pletely in reserve condition.
It should be remembered that when using
a fuel such as LPG the range is very vari-
able because, as well as driving and car
maintenance conditions, it also depends
on the different composition of the gas
which can vary not only seasonally but al-
so from supplier to supplier. LPG is, in ef-
fect, a composition of gas (butane and
propane) mixed in a way that may not be
standardized.

FUEL CONSUMPTION
The fuel consumption figures given in the
table below are determined on the basis
of the homologation tests set down by
specific European Directives.
The procedures below are followed for
measuring consumption:
– urban cycle: begins with cold starting,
then follows a driving path simulating the
usage of the vehicle in town;
– extra-urban cycle: driving that simulates
using the vehicle out of town with fre-
quent acceleration in all gears; the speed
varies from 0 to 120 km/h;
– combined consumption: the weighting is
around 37% urban cycle and 63% extra-
urban cycle.IMPORTANT The type of route, traffic
situations, weather conditions, driving
style, general car condition, trim lev-
el/equipment/accessories, use of the cli-
mate control system, vehicle load, roof
rack and other situations that affect air
drag may lead to different fuel consump-
tion levels than those measured. (See
Saving fuel in the Starting and driving
chapter in the handbook).
LPG range
With reference to the combined con-
sumption figures, the range while running
on LPG is 433 km (378 km for the VAN
version).

If, when refuelling with LPG,
there is an irregularity and the
tank is filled to more than the
31litres (27 litres for the VAN
version) (allowing for a surplus of 2 litres)
get help immediately from a Fiat Deal-
er. Periodically (at least once every six
months) it is advisable to let the LPG
in the tank run out and, at the first re-
fuelling, check that it does not exceed
the maximum permitted capacity.
The LPG supply system is
equipped with a "consump-
tion" function linked to the LED display
of LPG level on the switch; this function
activates only after a consistent varia-
tion in fuel level has been detected. You
are therefore advised to fill up with fu-
el at the first LPG refuelling to obtain a
more precise indication of the “level".
