Parking the vehicle
I m m o b i l i s e t h e v e h i c l e w h e r e
i t d o e s n o t b l o c k t r a f fi c : t h e
g r o u n d m u s t b e l e v e l , s t a b l e a n d
non-slippery ground.
Apply the parking brake unless it
has been programmed to automatic
m o d e , s w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d e n -
g a g e fi r s t g e a r * t o l o c k t h e w h e e l s .
Check that the braking warning light
and the P warning light on the park-
ing brake lever come on.
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r t h e
wheel diagonally opposite the wheel
to be changed.
I t i s i m p e r a t i v e t h a t y o u e n s u r e t h a t
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised
u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e s t a n d .
Removing the wheel
List of operations
R e m o v e t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r f r o m
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f -
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
punctured) wheel easily.
R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d s t o r e t h e m i n
a clean place.
R e m o v e t h e w h e e l .

Procedure for replacing a faulty bulb
with a new bulb without the use of
tools.
Model with halogen lights
1. Direction indicators (HP24-24W).
2. Dipped headlamps (H7-55W).
3. Main beam headlamps (H7-55W).
4. Daytime lights (HP24-24W).
5. Fog lamps (PS24-24W).

Model with xenon lights a
nd
directional headlamps I n s o m e c l i m a t i c c o n d i t i o n s
(e.g. low temperature or hu-
m i d i t y ) , t h e p r e s e n c e o f m i s t -
ing on the internal surface of the glass
of the headlamps and rear lamps is
normal; it disappears after the lamps
have been on for a few minutes.
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h
polycarbonate glass with a
p r o t e c t i v e c o a t i n g :
do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
u s e a s p o n g e a n d s o a p y w a t e r ,
when using a high pressure wash-
e r o n p e r s i s t e n t m a r k s , d o n o t d i -
rect at the lamps or their outlines
f o r t o o l o n g , s o a s n o t t o d a m a g e
their coating and their seals.
Front lamps
Do not touch the bulb directly with
y o u r fi n g e r s , u s e l i n t - f r e e c l o t h s .
Changing a halogen bulb should only
be done after the headlamp has been
switched off for a few minutes (risk of
serious burns).
I t i s i m p e r a t i v e t o u s e o n l y a n t i - u l t r a -
violet (UV) type bulbs in order not to
damage the headlamp.
