When changing a wheel
The hooks permit easy access
to the spare wheel by retain-
ing the boot carpet by means of the
two cords.
The hooks permit the securing of
shopping bags.
Hooks
In order to connect a 12 V accesso-
ry (max power: 120 Watts), remove
the cap and connect the appropriate
adaptor.
Turn the key to the ignition position.

secure your luggage.
Observe the loads indicated on the side
of the boot, in accordance with the posi-
t i o n o f t h e m o v a b l e fl o o r .
For safety reasons in case of sharp
braking, we recommend that heavy ob-
j e c t s a r e p l a c e d o n t h e fl o o r a s c l o s e a s
possible to the back of the rear seats.

TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
System which automatically checks the
pressure of the tyres while driving. All repairs and changing of
t y r e s o n a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s
system must be carried out by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you install
a wheel which is not detected by
y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : fi t t i n g o f s n o w
tyres), you must have the system
reinitialised by a PEUGEOT dealer.
This system does not eliminate
the need to have the tyre pres-
sure checked regularly (refer to
t h e " I d e n t i fi c a t i o n f e a t u r e s " p a r a g r a p h )
to ensure that the optimum dynamic
performance of the vehicle is main-
tained and prevent premature wear of
the tyres, particularly in arduous driving
conditions (heavy load, high speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked
cold, at least once a month. Re-
member to check the pressure of the
spare wheel.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system may experience temporary
interference due to radioelectric
emissions on a frequency close to
that used by the system.
S e n s o r s fi t t e d i n e a c h v a l v e t r i g g e r a
warning in the event of malfunction
(speed above 12 mph (20 km/h)).
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h a s e n s o r .
This warning light is displayed
on the instrument panel and/or
a message appears on the mul-
tifunction display, accompanied
by an audible signal, to locate
the wheel concerned.
Check the tyre pressures as soon as
possible.
This check must be carried out when
the tyres are
cold.
Flat tyre The
STOP warning light
comes on, accompanied by
an audible signal and a mes-
sage on the multifunction
display locating the wheel
concerned.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud-
den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc-
t u r e d o r v e r y d e fl a t e d t y r e ) , a n d
have the tyre pressure checked as
soon as possible.
Puncture
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c -
tion system is an aid to driv-
ing which does not replace the
need for the driver to be vigilant or to
drive responsibly. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
A message appears on the multifunction
display, accompanied by an audible sig-
nal, to locate the wheel or wheels which
are not detected or to indicate a fault in
the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).
This message is also dis-
played when one of the wheels
is away from the vehicle (being
repaired) or when one or more wheels
w i t h o u t a s e n s o r a r e fi t t e d .

Fixing the steel or "space-
saving" type spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h
a l l o y w h e e l s , i t i s n o r m a l t o n o t i c e ,
w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g ,
that the washers do not come into
contact with the steel or "space-sav-
ing" type spare wheel. The wheel
is secured by the conical contact of
each bolt.
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
A c c o r d i n g t o c o u n t r y , t h e s p a r e w h e e l
m a y b e s t e e l , a l l o y o r o f t h e " s p a c e s a v -
ing" type.

Taking out the wheel
Unscrew the yellow central bolt.
R a i s e t h e s p a r e w h e e l t o w a r d s y o u
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.
P u t t h e b o x b a c k i n p l a c e i n t h e c e n -
tre of the wheel and clip it.
P u t t h e p o l y s t y r e n e s t o r a g e b o x
back in place.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n
detection
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d
with a sensor. The punctured wheel
m u s t b e r e p a i r e d b y a P E U G E O T
dealer.

Parking the vehicle
I m m o b i l i s e t h e v e h i c l e w h e r e

Apply the parking brake unless it
has been programmed to automatic

Check that the braking warning light
and the P warning light on the park-
ing brake lever come on.
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r t h e
wheel diagonally opposite the wheel
to be changed.
I t i s i m p e r a t i v e t h a t y o u e n s u r e t h a t
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised
u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e s t a n d .
Removing the wheel
List of operations
R e m o v e t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r f r o m
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f -
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
punctured) wheel easily.
R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d s t o r e t h e m i n
a clean place.
R e m o v e t h e w h e e l .

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel
i n t h e b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e -
move the central cover.
When using the "space-saving" type
s p a r e w h e e l , d o n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h
( 8 0 k m / h ) .
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
c h e c k e d b y a P E U G E O T d e a l e r w i t h -
out delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as soon
as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the anti-theft bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i -
theft socket 5.
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Lock the anti-theft bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i -
theft socket 5 .
Lock the other bolts using the wheel-
brace 1 only.
