TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
Sensors check the tyre pressure dur-
ing driving and trigger a warning in the
event of malfunction.
Pressure Check With the ignition on and the
vehicle having been stationary
for approximately 15 minutes,
and after the engine oil level,
this indicator light comes on
on the instrument panel screen to indi-
cate that the system is measuring the
tyre pressures.
Pressure OK
This indicator light comes
on on the instrument panel
screen if all of the tyre pres-
sure values measured are
correct.
If this indicator light does not appear,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked. Puncture
This warning light, accom-
panied by the audible signal
and the message on the
multi-function display loca-
ting the wheel concerned, is
followed by illumination of the STOP
warning light.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud-
den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc-
t u r e d o r v e r y d e fl a t e d t y r e ) , a n d h a v e
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible.
Note: this message is also dis-
played when one of the wheels
is away from the vehicle (be-
ing repaired) or when one or
more wheels without a sensor
a r e fi t t e d . All repairs and changing of
t y r e s o n a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s
system must be carried out by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you install a
wheel which is not detected by your
vehicle, you must have the system
reinitialised by a PEUGEOT dealer.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n s y s -
tem is an aid to driving which does not
replace the need for the driver to be
vigilant or to drive responsibly.
This system does not eliminate the
need to have the tyre pressure checked
regularly (see manufacturer's label) to
ensure that the optimum dynamic per-
formance of the vehicle is maintained
and prevent premature wear of the
tyres, particularly in arduous driving
conditions (heavy load, high speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked
cold, at least once a month. Remember
to check the pressure of the spare
wheel.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n s y s -

ference due to radioelectric emissions
on a frequency close to that used by
the system.
Flat tyre
This warning light is accom-
panied by the audible si gnal
and the message on the
multi-function display loca-
ting the wheel concerned.
If this warning light comes on, have
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
This warning light is accom-
panied by the audible si gnal
and the message on the
multi-function display which
i n d i c a t e s t h a t u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n
detection is absent from one (or seve-
ral) wheel(s) or that there is a fault in
the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).

CHANGING A WINDSCREEN WIPER BLADE
ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION
After the engine has stopped, certain
electrical functions can be used for a
maximum duration of approximately
one hour, to prevent discharging of the
battery.
LOAD REDUCTION FUNCTION
When driving, certain functions (air
conditioning, heated rear screen,
heating system for passenger com-
partment of diesel vehicles, etc.) may
be switched off temporarily, depending
on the level of battery charge.
Reactivation of these functions is au-
tomatic, once the battery charge is
s u f fi c i e n t .
Note: at the risk of discharg-
ing the battery, the functions
that have been switched off
may be reactivated manually.
Note: if the telephone is being
used when economy mode
starts, it will still be possible to
fi n i s h t h e c a l l .
A fl a t b a t t e r y p r e v e n t s t h e e n -
gine from starting.
Replacing a blade
Lift the arm, then unclip the blade
and remove it.
Fit the new blade and fold down
the arm.
To reposition the blades, switch on the
ignition and operate the windscreen
wiper stalk. Once the hour is over, a switching to
economy mode message appears on
the multi-function display and the ac-
tive functions are put on standby.
These functions are reactivated au-
tomatically next time the vehicle is
driven.
In order to resume the use of these
functions immediately, the engine
must be started and left to run for a
few minutes.
The time available to you will then be
approximately double the duration
for which the engine is left running.
However, this period will always be
b e t w e e n fi v e a n d t h i r t y m i n u t e s .
T h i s t i m e m a y b e s i g n i fi c a n t l y
reduced if the battery charge
is low.
Placing the wiper blades in the
maintenance position
Less than one minute after switching
off the ignition, press the windscreen
wiper stalk down once to position the
blades at the top of the windscreen
(maintenance position).
