POWER CONSUMPTION CONTROL SYSTEM
Sleep condition
Wake-up operation
• BCM transmits sleep wake up signal (wake up) to each unit when any condition listed below is established,
and then goes into normal mode from low power consumption mode.
• Each unit starts transmissions with CAN communication by receiving sleep wake up signals. Each unit trans- mits wake up signals to BCM with CAN communication to convey the start of CAN communication.

DescriptionINFOID:0000000001686326
The steering angle sensor is connected to the ABS actuat or and electric unit (control unit) in addition to CAN
lines. CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time application. It is an on-vehicle
multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many
electronic control units are equipped onto a vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with
other control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected
with 2 communication lines (CAN H line, CAN L line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less
wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only.
