Steps Engine cleaning Light-alloy wheels*
Clean light-alloy wheels on a regular ba-
sis.

Dirty or iced-up steps and entrances cre-
ate a risk of slipping or falling.
Keep steps, entrances and footwear free
from dirt (e.g. mud, clay, snow and ice).

CAUTION
Do not allow water to enter the in-
take and ventilation openings.
When cleaning with high-pressure
water or steam cleaners, the spray
must not be aimed directly at electri-
cal components or at the end of elec-
trical lines.
Treat the engine with preservative
agents after cleaning. Protect the
belt drive system from the preserva-
tive when you do so.

CAUTION
Do not use any acidic or alkaline
cleaning agents. They can cause cor-
rosion of the wheel bolts (wheel
nuts) or the balancing weight retain-
ers.

Heavy soiling

Wipe plastic parts with a damp, lint-
free cloth (e.g. a micro-fiber cloth).
Dashboard and padded boss of the
steering wheel

with water and clean the plastic
parts and the dashboard.

Use a mild soap solution for particu-
larly stubborn dirt.
Radio* display and rear view cam-

cool off.

Use a low-foaming grease solvent
(e.g. washing-up liquid) diluted in wa-
ter as a cleaning agent.
The surface color may temporarily

ply wait for the surface to dry.

cleaning agent. The manufacturer
recommends that you use a
Mercedes-Benz product.

dashboard or the padded boss of the

The Parktronic* warning displays indicate im-
plausible distances.
For example, all the segments may be lit even
though there is no obstacle present.
The Parktronic* sensors are dirty or iced up.

An external radio or ultrasonic source may be
causing interference.

The license plate or other attachment parts
