B260B01JM-EAT SRS (Airbag) Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)(Not all models)
The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) comes on for approximately 6 seconds after the ignition key is turnedto the "ON" position or after the engine is started, after which it will go out. This light also comes on when the SRS is not working properly. If the SRI does not come on, or continuously remainson after flashing for about 6 seconds when you turned the ignition key to the "ON" position or started the engine, orif it comes on whilst driving, have the SRS inspected by a Hyundai authorised repairer.
B260E01HP-GAT Seat Belt Warning Light
The seat belt warning light blinks for 6 about seconds when the ignition key is turned from the "OFF" position to "ON"or "START".
SB210J1-E High Beam Indicator Light
The high beam indicator light will illumi- nate whenever the headlights are switched to high beam of flash position.
SB210K1-E Low Oil Pressure Warning Light
!CAUTION:
If the oil pressure warning light illu- minates when the engine is running,an insufficient oil pressure level for continued safe operation of the en- gine exists. Continued operation ofthe engine in this condition may result in serious engine damage. Under normal circumstances, the light will illuminate when the igni- tion is turned "on" and will be extin-guished when the engine is started. If the oil pressure warning light illu- minates whilst the engine is run-ning, stop the engine immediately and check the engine oil level. If the level is insufficient, add the required amount of oil as indicated by the engine oil dipstick. If the light fails to extinguish when the engineis restarted, do not continue to oper- ate the vehicle. If the oil pressure light illuminatesduring normal operation and the cause is not an insufficient oil level, or the light fails to illuminate whenthe ignition is turned "on", contact the nearest Hyundai authorised re- pairer before further operating thevehicle.

B340C05FC-EAT LIGHTING SWITCH The vehicle sidelights and headlights are operated by rotating the end of the turn signal switch barrel. To operate theside lights, rotating the switch to the first detent with ignition switch at the "OFF" position will cause the lights toilluminate. To operate the headlights, the turn signal switch barrel should be rotated to the second detent. The head-lights will only operate when the ignition switch is at the "ON" position. If the ignition switch is turned to the "OFF"position, only the side lights will func- tion.
HGK2074-E SB220D1-E HIGH AND LOW BEAM To turn on the headlight high beams, push the lever forward (away fromyou). For low beams, pull the lever back (toward you). The appropriate headlight beam indicator light will comeon at the same time.
NOTE: The ignition must be in the "ON" position to turn on the headlights. Side light auto cut (Not all models)
o The purpose of this feature is to
prevent the battery from being dis- charged. The system automatically turns off the headlights and sidelights when the driver removes the ignition key and opens the driver- side door.
o With this feature, the side light will be turned off automatically if the driverparks on the side of road at night.If necessary, to keep the lights on when the ignition key is removed, perform the following :
1) Open the driver-side door.
2) Turn the side lights OFF and ON
again using the light switch on the steering column.

B340G01LZ-EAT Auto Light (Not all models) To operate the automatic light feature, turn the barrel on the end of the multi- function switch. If you set the multi-function switch to "AUTO", the side lights and headlights will be turned au- tomatically on or off according to exter-nal illumination. o Don't clean the sensor using a window cleaner.

Auto Light Sensor
SB220E1-E Headlight Flasher The headlight may be flashed by pull- ing the turn signal switch lever towards the steering wheel. The headlight willbe extinguished when the switch is released.

CAUTION:
The inside of the rear windscreen should never be cleaned with a hard or sharp implement since damage to the heating element may occur.The glass should only be cleaned with a soft cloth or chamois leather with the use only of a mild deter-gent or proprietary glass cleaner where necessary. Only horizontal movement of the cloth should bemade when cleaning the glass and care should be exercised to ensure that the heating elements are not damaged by rings or jewellery whilst the glass is being cleaned. NOTE: The engine must be running for the rear window defroster to operate.

R - Push "R" to reset minutes to ":00"
to facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done: Pressing "R" between 11 : 01 and 11: 29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 11 : 59 changes the readout to 12 : 00.

HEADLIGHT LEVELING DE- VICE SYSTEM
SB320A2-F To adjust the headlight beam level ac- cording to the number of the passen- gers and the loading weight in the lug- gage area, turn the beam leveling switch. The higher the number of the switchposition, the lower the headlight beam level. Always keep the headlight beam at theproper leveling position, or headlights may dazzle other road users. Listed below are the examples of rec-ommended switch settings. For loading conditions other than those listed below, adjust the switch positionso that the beam level may be the nearest as the condition obtained ac- cording to the list. HGK2151-E

PARKING BRAKE
B530A03A-EAT The parking brake must always be set when the vehicle is to be left unattended.When the parking brake is applied, and the ignition key is at the "ON" position, the parking brake warning light will be
illuminated. Before driving the vehicle, the parking brake must be fully released and the warning light extinguished.
Applying the parking brake To engage the parking brake, first apply the foot brake and then without press- ing the release button in, pull the park- ing brake lever up as far as possible.
B520B02O-EAT Electric type (Not all models) The electric type day/night inside rear- view mirror automatically controls the glare of headlights of the car behindyou.
1. Pressing the button turns the auto-dimming function OFF which is indicated by the green Status Indica- tor LED turning off.
2. Pressing the button again turns the auto-dimming function ON whichis indicated by the green Status Indi-cator LED turning on.
NOTE: The mirror defaults to the "ON" posi- tion each time the vehicle is started. OGK046025In addition it is recommended that when parking the vehicle on a gradient, theshift lever should be positioned in the appropriate low gear on manual transaxle vehicles or in the P (Park) position onautomatic transaxle vehicles.

Releasing the parking brake To release the parking brake, first apply the foot brake and pull up the parking brake lever slightly. Secondly, depress the release button and lower the parkingbrake lever whilst holding the button.
WARNING:
Whenever leaving or parking the ve-hicle, always apply the parking brake fully and engage the appropriate low gear (Park position for automatictransmission models). Failure to apply the parking brake correctly could result in the vehicle movinginadvertently.

Adjustment After Headlight As- sembly Replacement
If the vehicle has had front body repair and the headlight assembly has been replaced, the headlight aiming should be checked using an aiming screen asshown in the illustration. Turn on the headlight switch.
1. Adjust headlights so that main axis of light is parallel to centre line of the body and is aligned with point"P" shown in the illustration.
2. Dotted lines in the illustration show centre of headlights.
1. Keep all tyres inflated to the correct
pressure.
2. Place the vehicle on level ground and press the front bumper & rearbumper down several times. Placevehicle at a distance of 118.1 in. (3m) from the test wall.
3. See that the vehicle is unloaded (except for full levels of coolant, engine oil and fuel, and spare tyre,jack, and tools).
4. Clean the head lights lens and turn
on the headlight.
5. Open the bonnet.
6. Draw the vertical line (through the centre of each headlight beam pat- tern) and the horizontal line (through the centre of each headlight beampattern) on the aiming screen.And then, draw a parallel line at1.18 in. (30 mm) under the hori- zontal line.
7. Adjust each cut-off line of the low beam to the parallel line with aphillips screwdriver - VERTICAL AIMING.
