EXTERNAL LIGHT FAILURE
The warning light on the dial turns on (on certain
versions together with the message on the
display) when one of the following failures is
detected: broken circuit, “missing” or burnt-out
bulb, wrong bulb power. Light check concerns:
taillights, brake lights (3rd stop light excluded),
rear fog lights, headlights, direction indicators
and number plate lights.
The failure referring to these lights could be: one
or more blown bulbs, a blown protection fuse or
a cut-off electric connection.
Symbols

For the type of bulb and power rating, see “When needing to change a
bulb”.
FRONT LIGHT UNITS
The front light units contain the sidelights, the dipped beam, main beam,
direction indicator and fog light bulbs.
To change the bulbs of the sidelights, low beams, direction indicators and
fog lights it is necessary to remove the cover (A) releasing the catch (B).
The bulbs are arranged inside the light unit as follows:
G: direction indicators
F: main beam headlights
E: sidelights
D: fog lights
C: dipped beam headlights
After replacement, refit the covers correctly checking that they are
properly secured.

FRONT SIDELIGHTS
To change the bulb, proceed as follows:
❒remove the protective cover releasing the relevant catch;
❒remove the snap-fitted bulb holder (A), extract the bulb (B) and
change it;
❒refit the bulb holder (A);
❒refit the protective cover correctly.
FRONT FOG LIGHTS (where provided)
To change the bulb, proceed as follows:
❒disconnect the electrical connector (C);
❒release the bulb catch (D);
❒remove the bulb (E) and change it;
❒fit the new bulb, hook the bulb catch (D) and re-connect the electrical
connector (C).

The bulbs are arranged inside the light unit as follows:
D: sidelights / STOP
E: direction indicators
F: reversing light
G: rear fog lights
ADDITIONAL BRAKING LIGHT (THIRD STOP)
To change the bulbs, proceed as follows:
❒open the tailgate;
❒slacken the two fastening screws (A);
❒press the catch (B) and remove the bulb holder;
❒remove the snap-fitted bulbs and change them;
❒insert the bulb holder making sure the catch (B) clicks into place;
drive in the two fastening screws (A).
IMPORTANT Where provided, on versions with dark windows, replace
the whole light unit since it is sealed.
Number plate light
To change the bulb, proceed as follows:
❒work in the point shown by the arrow and remove the transparent (A);
❒change the bulb(B) releasing it from the side contacts and making sure
the new bulb is correctly fastened between the contacts;
❒refit the transparent.
