Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light
on the dial turns on, but it should go off after few
seconds.
The warning light turns on (together with the
message on the display, on certain versions) when
the level of the brake fluid in the reservoir falls
below the minimum level, due to possible leak in
the circuit.x
HANDBRAKE ON
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light
on the dial turns on, but it should go off after few
seconds. The warning light turns on when the
handbrake is on.

DEACTIVATED (where required)
Dial warning light comes on when front
passenger air bag is deactivated. With front
passenger air bag on, turning the ignition key to
MAR, warning light
Fcomes on flashing on the
cluster for about 4 seconds, then it shall go off.

SEAT BELTS NOT FASTENED
The warning light will come on flashing, together
with the warning buzzer when, with the car
moving, the driver's seat belt is not correctly
fastened. The S.B.R. (Seat Belt Reminder) buzzer
can only be excluded by Fiat Dealership. On
versions fitted with reconfigurable multifunction
display (Comfort), the system can be reactivated
through the set-up menu (see diagram aside).

WARNINGWarning light Findicates also warning light ¬failure. This is indicated by
intermittent flashing, over 4 seconds, of warning light F. In this event, warning
light ¬could be not up to indicate restraint system failures, if any. Stop the car

TEMPERATURE
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning
light on the dial turns on, but it should go off
after few seconds.
The warning light turns on (on certain versions
together with the message on the display) when
the engine is overheated. If the warning light
comes on when driving, proceed as follows:
❒normal driving conditions: stop the car,
switch off the engine and check whether the
water level in the reservoir is not below the
MIN mark. Otherwise wait for few seconds
to allow engine cooling, then open slowly and
carefully the cap, top up coolant and check
whether its level is falling between MIN and
MAX marks in the reservoir. Check visually
any leak. If when restarting the warning light
comes on again, contact a Fiat Dealership;

mGLOW PLUGS (Multijet versions)
Turning the ignition key to MAR, the warning
light on the dial comes on and goes off when
glow plugs reach the preset temperature. Start
the engine immediately after warning light
switching off.
IMPORTANT With high ambient temperature,
warning light stays on for very short time.amber

FIAT CODE
Turning the key to MAR the warning light on the
dial shall flash only once and then go off. If with
the ignition key at MAR the warning light comes
on with fixed light (on certain versions, together
with the message on the display), this indicates a
possible failure (see “The Fiat Code system” in
section “Dashboard and controls”).
IMPORTANT The turning on at the same time
of the
Uand Ywarning lights indicates a
failure of the Fiat CODE system.
If with the engine running the failure message is
displayed, contact Fiat Dealership.
If with the engine running the
Ywarning light
flashes, this means that the car is not protected
by the engine inhibitor device (see “The Fiat
Code system” in section “Dashboard and
controls”). Contact Fiat Dealership to have all
the keys memorised.

STEERING FAILURE (where provided)
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light
on the dial turns on, but it should go off after few
seconds.
If the warning light stays on (on certain versions
together with the message on the display), you
will not have steering assistance and the effort on
the steering wheel will be increased, steering is
however possible. Contact Fiat Dealership.
DIESEL FUEL FILTER SENSOR FAILURE
The warning light on the dial comes on (on
certain versions together with the message on
the display) when diesel fuel filter sensor failure is
detected. Contact Fiat Dealership as soon as
possible to have the fault removed.
GLOW PLUG WARMING
FAILURE (Multijet versions)
The warning light on the dial turns on (together
with the message on the display) when there is a
failure in the glow plug warming system. Contact
Fiat Dealership as soon as possible to have the
fault eliminated.

The warning light turns on (on certain versions

the system is inefficient or unavailable.
In this case the braking system keeps its
effectiveness unchanged, but without the
potential offered by the ABS system. Drive
carefully and contact Fiat Dealership as soon as
possible.
RAIN SENSOR FAILURE
The warning light on the dial turns on (on certain
versions together with the message on the
display) when the rain sensor is faulty. Contact
