Manual closing of the roof (emergency mode)
If the roof opening or closing cycle does not begin or does not function correctly, check the following points:
 ignition key in running position,
 the screen must be pulled across,
 the boot must be closed,
 the vehicle speed must be below 6mph (10 km/h),
 the roof fuse must be in good condition (see corresponding sec-tion),
 the windows must be initialised (see corresponding section),
 the battery voltage must be suffi-cient (the roof control button indi-cator light must be lit),
 the vehicle must not be in econ-omy mode (see corresponding section),
 the exterior temperature must not be below - 20°C.
In the event of an electrical or hydraulic roof malfunction, it is possible to close the roof manually.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked.
This possibility is a breakdown solu-tion.
Following manual closing of the roof, the boot lid hinges will no longer be locked and the boot will no longer be sealed.
Two people are required to carry out this operation. Considerable force is necessary.
 Park the vehicle, if possible on level ground.
 Lower the windows.
 Switch off the ignition.
 Apply the handbrake.
When carrying out the roof closing operation, take care not to catch your hands in the mechanisms.
The following three tools are pro-vided in the handbook pocket:
 AllenTM key with 5 adaptor A and 6 adaptor B,
 TorxTM key with 20 adaptor C and 30 adaptor D.
 TorxTM key with 15 adaptor E.

 Open the boot lid.
 Using the hook 1, secure the boot mat on the screen bar 2.
This allows access to the hydraulic pump screw.
 Press the AllenTM key adaptor B firmly into the bleed screw 3, then unscrew half a turn.
 Using the TorxTM key adaptor C, remove the six plastic cover bolts 4, located on either side of the boot.
 Remove the two plastic covers 5.
 Extract the cable rings 6 from the trims.
Note: if a cable ring is not visible, carefully insert your hand behind the trim to extract it.

 Pull the two control cables 7 at the same time to unlock the boot lid locks.
 While continuing to pull the cables, lift the boot lid hinges 8 carefully.
Considerable force is required. Release the cables.
Then, lift the assembly rearwards.
Note: the unfolding of the hinges locks the lid in the upper position.
 Raise the moving shelf 9 lifting it on either side.
Considerable force is required.
 Guide the movement of the shelf until it is in a vertical position.
 Take hold of the roof 10, unfold it (considerable force is required) and move it as close as possible to the wind-screen.
 Reposition the boot mat and roll up the screen.

To remove the boot sill trim:
 remove the three bolts 11, located inside the boot in the upper part of the sill screen, using the TorxTM, located inside the boot in the , located inside the boot in the key adap-tor E,
 lower the screen,
 remove the three bolts 12, using the TorxTM key adaptor C,
 remove the two bolts 13, located on the boot sill, using the TorxTM key adaptor D.
 unclip the boot sill trim 14 to access the hinged covers motor.
 Using the AllenTM key adaptor A, unscrew the central bolt 15 to fold the hinged covers 16 to the end of their travel.

 Fold the boot lid hinges 17 forwards.
Considerable force is required.
 Move the boot lid towards the locks.
 Press the catches 18 firmly into the locks.
 Manually move the roof as close as possible to the wind-screen.
 From inside the vehicle, remove the plastic cap 19 located on the roof.
 Using the AllenTM key adaptor B, screw the locking bolt 20 in fully (half a turn).

 Then, from outside the vehicle, close the roof fully.
 From inside the vehicle, lock the roof by unscrewing the locking bolt 20 (half a turn).
Considerable force is required.
 Refit the plastic cap 19.
 Screw the hydraulic pump screw back in by half a turn using the same key, then close the boot lid.
Following manual closing of the roof, you must drive at a moderate speed.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked.
When carrying out the roof closing operation, to avoid any risk of injury, ensure that there is no one in the proximity of the moving parts.
Operation of the roof is the sole responsibility of the driver.
