CAUTION:
Make sure that turbine revolution sensor securely installs
into turbine revolution sensor hole.
Adjust A/T assembly harness connector of control valve
with TCM to terminal hole of transmission case.
Hang down revolution sensor harness toward outside so
as not to disturb installation of control valve with TCM.
Assemble it so that manual valve cutout is engaged with
manual plate projection.
h. Install bolts A, B and C to control valve with TCM.
i. Tighten bolt 1, 2 and 3 temporarily to prevent dislocation. Then tighten them in order (1 → 2 → 3), and then tighten other bolts.
j. Tighten control valve with TCM bolts to the specified torque. Refer to AT- 2 5 0 , "

16. Install the oil pan magnets as shown.
17. Install the oil pan and new oil pan gasket.
CAUTION:
Do not reuse the oil pan gasket.
Completely remove all moisture, oil and old gasket from
the oil pan gasket mating surfaces and holes.
Always replace the oil pan bolts as they are self-sealing.
Be sure the oil pan drain plug hole is located to the rear
of the transmission assembly.
Partially install the oil pan bolts in a criss-cross pattern to
prevent dislocation of the gasket.
Be careful not to pinch harnesses.
18. Tighten new oil pan bolts in numerical order as shown.
19. Install drain plug in oil pan with new gasket. CAUTION:
Do not reuse the drain plug gasket.
20. Install torque converter.
a. Pour ATF into torque converter.
Approximately 2 liter (2-1/8 US qt, 1-3/4 Imp qt) of fluid is
required for a new torque converter.
When reusing old torque converter, add the same amount
of fluid as was drained.

WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE
The water temperature gauge indicates the engine coolant temperature.
ECM provides an engine coolant temperature signal to combination meter via CAN communication lines.
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE
The engine oil pressure gauge indicates the engine oil pressure.
The engine oil pressure gauge is regulated by the unified meter control unit and input from the oil pressure
sensor.
A/T OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE
The A/T oil temperature gauge indicates the A/T fluid temperature.
TCM (transmission control module) provides an A/T fluid temperature signal to combination meter via CAN
communication lines.
V O LTA G E G A U G E
The voltage gauge indicates the battery/charging system voltage.
The voltage gauge is regulated by the unified meter control unit.
TACHOMETER
The tachometer indicates engine speed in revolutions per minute (rpm).
ECM provides an engine speed signal to combination meter via CAN communication lines.
FUEL GAUGE
The fuel gauge indicates the approximate fuel level in the fuel tank.
The fuel gauge is regulated by the unified meter control unit and a variable resistor signal supplied
to combination meter terminal 15.

TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS - SPECIFICATION VALUE
2006 QX56
TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS - SPECIFICATION VALUEPFP:00031
DescriptionUBS00L0F
The specification (SP) value indicates the tolerance of the value that is displayed in “DATA MONITOR (SPEC)”
mode of CONSULT-II during normal operation of the Engine Control System. When the value in “DATA MONI-
TOR (SPEC) ” mode is within the SP value, the Engine Control System is confirmed OK. When the value in
“DATA MONITOR (SPEC) ” mode is NOT within the SP value, the Engine Control System may have one or
more malfunctions.
The SP value is used to detect malfunctions that may affect the Engine Control System, but will not light the
MIL.
The SP value will be displayed for the following three items:
B/FUEL SCHDL (The fuel injection pulse width programmed into ECM prior to any learned on board cor-
rection)
A/F ALPHA-B1/B2 (The mean value of air-fuel ratio feedback correction factor per cycle)
MAS A/F SE-B1 (The signal voltage of the mass air flow sensor)
Testing ConditionUBS00L0G
Vehicle driven distance: More than 5,000 km (3,107 miles)
Barometric pressure: 98.3 - 104.3 kPa (1.003 - 1.064 kg/cm2 , 14.25 - 15.12 psi)
Atmospheric temperature: 20 - 30 °C (68 - 86 °F)
Engine coolant temperature: 75 - 95 °C (167 - 203 °F)
Engine speed: Idle
Transmission: Warmed-up
–After the engine is warmed up to normal operating temperature, drive vehicle until “ATF TEMP SE 1” (A/T
fluid temperature sensor signal) indicates more than 60 °C (140 °F).
Electrical load: Not applied
–Rear window defogger switch, air conditioner switch, lighting switch are OFF. Steering wheel is straight
ahead.
Inspection ProcedureUBS00L0H
NOTE:
Perform “DATA MONITOR (SPEC) ” mode in maximum scale display.
1. Perform EC-71, "
Basic Inspection" .
2. Confirm that the testing conditions indicated above are met.
3. Select “B/FUEL SCHDL ”, “A/F ALPHA-B1 ”, “A/F ALPHA-B2 ”
and “MAS A/F SE-B1 ” in “DATA MONITOR (SPEC) ” mode with
CONSULT-II.
4. Make sure that monitor items are within the SP value.
5. If NG, go to EC-135, "
Diagnostic Procedure" .
