handbook documentation, which can be consulted free
of charge.
The RD4 audio equipment is coded in such a way that
it will only operate in your vehicle. If it is to b e installed
in another vehicle, contact your PEUGEOT dealer for
configuration of the system.

01 FIRST STEPS
On/Off and volume
adjustment.
CD eject. Selection of the FM1, FM2, FMast and AM
wavebands.
Displaying of the general
menu.- Selection of a lower/higher frequency.
- Selection of the previous/next CD.
- Selection of the previous/next MP3
directory. - Automatic search for a lower/
higher frequency.
- Selection of previous/next CD or MP3 track.
Selection of the source: radio, CD and CD
changer.
- Storing of a station.
- Selection of a stored radio station.
- Selection of a CD in the CD changer. Setting the audio options:
Front/rear balance, left/right balance,
loudness, sound ambiences.
Displaying of the local stations, of the tracks on the
CD or of the MP3 directories.
Abandon current operation.
Selection of the screen display mode.

STORING A STATION
Press the SOURCE button several
times in succession and select
the radio.
Press the BAND AST button to select
a waveband/FM1, FM2, FMast, AM.
Briefly press one of the buttons
to carry out an automatic search
of the radio stations. Press one of the buttons to carry out a
manual search of the radio stations.
Press one of the buttons on the
numeric keypad for more than
2 seconds to store the frequency
of the current station.Press the LIST REFRESH button
to display the list of stations received
locally.
To update this list, press for more
than two seconds.

CD CHANGER
PLAYING A CD (NOT MP3 COMPATIBLE)
Insert one or more CDs in the
changer.
Press the SOURCE button several
times in succession and select CD
CHANGER.
Press one of the buttons on the
numeric keypad to select the
corresponding CD.
Press one of the buttons to select a
track on the CD.
Press and hold one of the buttons for
fast forwards or backwards play.

PLAYING A CD OR AN MP3 COMPILATION*
Insert circular compact discs only. Some anti-pirating
systems, on original discs or CDs copied using a
personal recorder, may cause faults which are no
reflection on the quality of the original player.
Insert a CD or an MP3 compilation in the player, pl ay
begins automatically.
If the player already contains a disc,
press the SOURCE button several
times in succession and select CD.
Press one of the buttons to select a
track on the CD.
Press the LIST REFRESH button to
display the list of tracks on the CD or of
the directories of the MP3 compilation.
The playing and displaying of an MP3 compilation ma y depend on
the recording programme and/or the parameter settin gs used. We
recommend use of the ISO 9660 recording standard. * according to specification.

Press the end of the steering wheel stalk to accept
the call.
The services offered by the hands-free kit depend o
n the network, the SIM
card and the compatibility of the Bluetooth equipme nt used.
Consult your telephone’s manual and your operator t o find out which
services are available to you. A list of mobile tel ephones which offer the
best range of services is available from the networ k. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
MAKING A CALL
Press and hold the end of the steering wheel stalk to
access your directory.
To dial a number, use the keypad on your telephone.
04 HANDS-FREE KIT
MATCHING A TELEPHONE
DISPLAY C
For safety reasons and because they require prolong ed attention
on the part of the driver, the operations for match ing of the
Bluetooth mobile telephone with the RD4 hands-free kit must be
carried out with the vehicle stationary and the ign ition on.
Activate the telephone’s Bluetooth function and
carry out a search of the Bluetooth accessories
present for the telephone.
Select the accessory which corresponds to
the name of the vehicle, a superimposed
configuration display appears on the multi-function
display.
Enter the vehicle’s authentication code (=1234).
Depending on the telephone, you may be asked
to enter this code before the superimposed
configuration display appears.
Select the YES tab on the display using
the buttons then confirm by pressing OK.
RECEIVING A CALL
An incoming call is announced by a ring and a super imposed
display on the multi-function display.
Select the YES tab on the display using
the buttons and confirm by pressing OK.

Mute: by pressing the volume
increase and decrease
buttons simultaneously.
The sound is restored by
pressing one of the two
volume buttons.
- Change of sound source.
- Confirmation of a selection.
- Pick up/Hang up the telephone.
- Press for more than 2 seconds:
access to the telephone menu.
