Introduction
Some car radio models allow you to
operate a CD changer.
Depending on your vehicle model ver-
sion, the CD changer is located either in
the glove compartment or the luggage
compartment.
Note
Only the controls needed for CD opera-
tion are described in this Owner’s
Manual.
The operation of the radio and cassette
player and further tips on the function of
the radio system are in the radio operat-
ing instructions pamphlet.

the glove compartment or the luggage
compartment.

Note
•Please only use original CD magazines
from the SEAT accessories programme
(check with your SEAT Official Service
Centre).
•If the magazine is not in its housing,
some versions of the radio will display
the message “MAGAZINE”.
•If there is no CD in the magazine,
some versions of the radio will display
the message “NO DISC”.
•The changer can hold up to a maxi-
mum 6 standard 12 cm. CDs. This pro-
vides for a high number of tracks and
extensive listening time.
You must
never use 8cm. CDs nor Shape CDs.
•If one of the changer positions is
empty, when selecting it (in CD mode)
the message "NO CD" will be displayed
on the audio system.

Removing magazine from changer
It is possible to remove the CD magazine
when radio is switched off.
•Slide CD slot cover fully open
•Press magazine eject button
The magazine is automatically driven to
the removal position
•Remove magazine
Inserting magazine
•Make sure the sliding slot is com-
pletely open.
•Line up the magazine so that the
arrow on the top points to its housing.
•Push the magazine in as far as it will
go.
After inserting the magazine you will
hear a noise that shows that the changer
is checking how many CD’s are in the
magazine.
Slide the slot fully closed.
Note
After inserting or removing the maga-
zine, the slot cover should always be
closed to protect the CD changer from
particles of dust and dirt and thus
prevent malfunctioning.
Putting CD’s in the changer
•Hold the CD, with the printed side
upwards,by the hole in the middle and
by the edge.
