Removal and Installation of BCMAKS0058E
REMOVAL
1. Remove the dash side finisher (LH). Refer to EI-36, "BODY
SIDE TRIM" in “EI Exterior/Interior.”
2. Disconnect BCM connector.
3. Remove bracket mounting screws (3) to remove BCM and fuse block with bracket.
4. Raise the pawl of fuse block and remove bracket from fuse block to remove BCM.
INSTALLATION
Installation is the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
When replacing BCM perform initialization of NATS system and registration of all NATS ignition key IDs.

to CPU of power window main switch
through power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch) terminal 17
through grounds M35, M45 and M85.
Then power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch) operation signal is supplied.
through power window main switch terminal 14.
to BCM terminal 22
When the door is locked or unlocked with front power window switch (passenger side) (door lock and unlock
switch), ground is supplied
to CPU of front power window switch (passenger side)
through front power window switch (passenger side) (door lock and unlock switch) terminal 11
through grounds M35, M45 and M85.
Then front power window switch (passenger side) (door lock and unlock switch) operation signal is supplied
through front power window switch (passenger side) terminal 16.
to BCM terminal 22
When the door is locked with front door key cylinder switch, ground is supplied
to power window main switch terminal 4
through key cylinder switch terminals 1 and 5
through grounds M35, M45 and M85.

Check BCM Power Supply and Ground CircuitAIS004LY
1. CHECK FUSE AND FUSIBLE LINK
Check 50A fusible link (letter M, located in teh fuse and fusible link box).
Check 15A fuse [No. 22, located in the fuse block (J/B)].
NOTE:
Refer to BL-21, "
Component Parts and Harness Connector Location" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse, refer to PG-
3, "POWER SUPPLY ROUTING CIRCUIT" .
2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM connectors.
3. Check voltage between BCM connectors M4 terminals 42, 55 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair or replace BCM power supply circuit.
3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between BCM connectors M4 terminals 49, 52 and
ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Power supply and ground circuit are OK.
NG >> Repair or replace BCM ground circuit. 42 (L/R) – Ground : Battery voltage

2. CHECK KEY SWITCH (WITH INTELLIGENT KEY)
1. Disconnect key switch and ignition knob switch connector.
2. Check continuity between key switch or key switch and ignition knob switch terminals 3 and 4.
OK or NG
OK >> Check the following.
15A fuse (No. 22, located in fuse and fusible link block)
Harness for open or short between key switch and fuse
Harness for open or short between BCM and key switch
NG >> Replace key switch or key switch and ignition knob switch.
3. CHECK KEY SWITCH (WITHOUT INTELLIGENT KEY)
1. Disconnect key switch connector.
2. Check continuity between key switch terminals 1 and 2.
OK or NG
OK >> Check the following.
15A fuse (No. 22, located in fuse and fusible link block)
Harness for open or short between key switch and fuse
Harness for open or short between BCM and key switch
NG >> Replace key switch or key switch and ignition knob switch.

With CONSULT-II
Check ACC switch (“ACC ON SW”) in “DATA MONITOR” mode with
CONSULT-II.
Without CONSULT-II
Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.
