AcuraLink enhances your ownership
experience by providing a direct
communication link between your
vehicleandtheAcuraServer.
Working through the XM radio
satellite, AcuraLink works in
conjunction with the navigation
system, HandsFreeLink (HFL), and
audio system in your vehicle. It
displays and receives several kinds
of messages, including:Operating tips and inf ormation on
your vehicle’s f eatures.
Important recall and safety
inf ormation.
Maintenance inf ormation to keep
your vehicle in top condition.
Diagnostic inf ormation to provide
inf ormation about any problems
with your vehicle. Most AcuraLink f unctions are
controlled by the interf ace dial. The
interface dial has two parts, a knob
and a selector.
The knob turns lef t and right. Use it
to make selections or adjustments to
a list or menu on the screen.
The selector can be pushed lef t,
right, up, down, and in. Use the
selector to scroll through lists, to
select menus, and to highlight menu
items. When you make a selection,
push the center of the selector
(ENTER)togotothatselection.

To delete a single message: Press the INFO button to bring up
the Information screen.
Scroll to the Messages option,
then select it by pressing ENTER
on the interf ace selector.

or down to the message title you
want to delete, and select it by
pressing ENTER on the interf ace
selector.
Scroll to Delete with the interface
knob, and select it by pressing
ENTER on the interf ace selector. When you open a message, you can
read a summary of it, and then
choose one of several options. If an
option is not available f or a message,
that button will not be highlighted.
Scroll to the category with the
messages you want to delete, and
selectthecategorybypressing
ENTER on the interf ace selector. Scroll to the Delete Messages
option, and select it by pressing
ENTER on the interf ace selector. Usetheinterfaceknobtoscrollto
the AcuraLink/Messages button,
and select it by pressing ENTER
on the interf ace selector. Select MORE by pushing the
interface selector to the right. Press the SETUP button to view
the setup screen. The Delete All Messages
command only works f or quick tip
and maintenance minder messages.

to a desired destination.
If you need a ride
(taxi, limousine service, etc.) the
OnStar advisor can make the
arrangements f or you. Use the
OnStar button, or call

If you are unable to locate your
vehicleinalargeparkinglotor
parking structure, contact OnStar at
(888) 4-ONSTAR. The advisor will
remotely activate the exterior lights
and the horn, allowing you to locate
your vehicle.
From your computer, you can log
into www. myonstar.com to make
dinner reservations, purchase tickets
to events, send f lowers, etc.
Using
GPS, OnStar can locate your vehicle
almost anywhere. If your vehicle is
ever stolen, contact OnStar at
(888) 4-ONSTAR. The advisor will
put you in contact with the proper
authorities, and assist them with
locating your vehicle. By sending a signal to your
vehicle, the advisor can lock or
unlock your vehicle’s doors. This is
helpfulif youareawayfromyour
vehicle and realize you f orgot to lock
the doors, or if you have locked the
remote or built-in key in your vehicle.

Plan provides these additional

OnStar uses the global positioning
system (GPS) to locate your vehicle
f or f unctions such as route guidance
and roadside assistance. GPS is
af f ected by structures that can
obstruct the signal, such as tunnels,
parking structures, and tall buildings.
It may not be possible f or OnStar to
pinpoint your location if you are in or
near such structures.
OnStar uses cellular technology to
communicate with your vehicle.
Cellular coverage varies by location,
which may af f ect the ability to
establish a connection, or the quality
of the connection.
Onstar has antennas in the rear
window (on each side of the high-
mount brake light) and on the roof
near the high-mount brake light. To
avoid reception problems, do not
cover the window antennas with
metal stickers, and do not cover theroof antenna with cargo or bicycles
on a roof rack.
When you turn of f your vehicle’s
ignition, OnStar goes into low-power
mode. Af ter 48 hours, it switches to
sleep mode to conserve your vehicle’s
battery power. Features such as
remote door unlocking and
misplaced vehicle assistance will not
work af ter your vehicle has been
parked f or more than 48 hours.

The CHECK FUEL CAP message
that is displayed after you turn the
ignition switch to the ON (II)
position or start the engine, should
go of f af ter tightening the f uel cap,
turning the ignition switch of f and on,
then driving over 12 mph (US) or 20
km/h (Canada) for at least 10
minutes. Due to dif f erent driving
conditions,itmaytakeafewdrive
trips to make the message go of f .
The CHECK FUEL CAP message
displayed while driving should go of f
af ter tightening the f uel cap, turning
the ignition switch of f and on, then
driving over 30 mph (US) or 48
km/h (Canada) for at least 45
seconds. Due to dif f erent driving
conditions,itmaytakeafewdrive
trips to make the message go of f .Park the vehicle, and set the
parking brake. Pull the hood
release lever located under the
lower lef t corner of the dashboard.
The hood will pop up slightly.
If the system still detects a loose or
missing f uel cap, the malf unction
indicator lamp (MIL) comes on. If a
loose or missing f uel cap was not the
cause of the CHECK FUEL CAP
message coming on, the MIL will
also come on. When the MIL comes
on, the message goes of f .
Turn the engine of f , and check or
retighten the f uel cap until it clicks at
least once. The MIL goes out af ter 3
days of normal driving once the cap
is tightened or replaced. If it does
not go out, have your dealer inspect
the vehicle. For more inf ormation,

phones, alarms, two-way radios, and
low-powered audio systems should

computer controlled systems, such
as your airbags and anti-lock brakes.Bef ore installing any accessory:

The cargo f loor hooks can also be
used to tie down and secure items on
the f loor.
There are hooks on the f loor and
both sides of the trunk. They can be
used to install the cargo net f or
securing items. The side cargo
hooks are designed to hold light
items (maximum load: 6 lbf or 3 kgf
for each hook). Heavy objects may
