Make sure that the exterior air inlet grille and manifold
at the base of the windscreen is clean and free of dead
leaves,snow,etc..
If you wash the vehicle using a high pressure jet, avoid

flowandgrillesfororientingthedirection.
Aircirculation
Maximum comfort is obtained from having a good
distribution of air in both the front and the rear of the
passengercompartment.Airoutletsonthefloorbeneath
the front seats enhance comfort for rear passengers,
so you should make sure that these outlets are notobstructed. Pollenfilter
Yourinstallationhasafilterforexcludingdust.
This filter has to be changed at the prescribedmaintenanceintervals(seetheMaintenanceGuide). Additionalheating
VehicleswithHDienginesmaybefittedwithanautomatic additionalheatingsystemforenhancingyourcomfort.
It is normal to notice certain emissions of fumes and
odours, especially when stationary, with the enginerunningatidle. Airconditioning
Whateverthetimeofyear,theairconditioningis
useful
inremovinghumidityandmisting.
To keep the air conditioning compressor well sealed ,
it is essential to operate the air conditioning at least
onceineverymonth.
To be effective, the air conditioning should only b e
operatedwiththewindowsclosed.
If after a prolonged stop in bright sunshine, the
inside temperature has become excessive, open the
windows for a few moments to air the cabin, then
closethewindowsagain.
Thetemperatureinsidethecabincannotbelowerth an
the ambient temperature if the air conditioning is not
operating.
If you are pulling a heavy trailer in very high amb ient
temperatures,theairconditioningmaytemporarily be
interruptediftheenginecoolingrequirementsdema nd
this.
Water arising from the condensation in the air
conditioning system drains out through a hole
providedforthatpurpose;apoolofwatermaythus be
observedunderneaththevehiclewhenstationary.
It is recommended to have the air conditioning
system checked on a regular basis (see the
MaintenanceGuide).
The air conditioning uses power from the engine to
operate. There is a resulting slight increase in fu el
consumption.

1-Automaticoperation
This is the optimal and normal mode
for using the air conditioning system
toensureacirculationofairsufficienttomaintainagoodlevelofcomfort.
A press on the control for this, confirmed by
the display of « AUTO », provides automatic
operation at the selected temperature of the
following5functions:
- Airflow.
- Cabintemperature.
- Airdistribution.
- Airconditioning.
- Airrecirculation. Isisadvisedtokeepalltheairventsopen.Notes:
- When starting the engine from cold, in order to prevent an unwanted rush of cold
air, the blower attains its optimum level only
progressively. - Whenyouareenteringthevehicleafterafairlyprolon-
ged stop and the temperature inside the cabin is far
colder (or far hotter) than would be comfortable, it is
nousealteringthedisplayedtemperaturetotrytores-
torethedesiredcomfortlevelmorerapidly.Thesystem
automatically strives to compensate this temperature
discrepancyasrapidlyaspossible.

Warninglamp «A/C»or«AUTO» isilluminated.
Ifyoupressonthebutton,yousee «ECO»displayed,
the air conditioning is stopped, « A/C » or« AUTO »
disappears.
To prevent misting inside the vehicle in either cold or
humid weather, you are advised to use AUTO mode
andtoavoid ECOmode.
5-Airrecirculation
If you press on this button, the intake of air from
outsideisclosedoff,asconfirmedbythedisplay.
This position enables you to exclude any
unpleasantodoursorfumescomngfromoutside.Its hould
be cancelled as soon as possible to allow renewal of
cabinairandtopreventmisting.
