When the vehicle is parked, theexterior mirrors can be folded back
manually. Automatic day/night exteriormirrors* These darken automatically depen-
ding on the brightness from the rear. They are linked with the automatic day/night interior mirror (see paragra-ph "Automatic day/night interior mir-ror"). Special feature
To guarantee maximum visibility during manoeuvres, the mirrors ligh-ten automatically when reverse gearis engaged. Automatically adjustable mirrors for parking These allow you to see the ground (kerb, wall...) when carrying out park-
ing manoeuvres in reverse gear.
Tilting the mirror to the parking posi- tion:
switch on the direction indicatoron the parking side,
engage reverse gear. The exterior mirror corresponding to the side on which you are park-ing tilts downwards.
Returning the mirror to the previousposition: change out of reverse gear.
The driver's mirror is con- vex in order to eliminatethe 'blind spot' (area atedge defined by a dottedline).
As a result, objects observed inthe driver's and passenger's mir-rors are in reality closer than they
appear. This must be taken into account to judge correctly the distance ofvehicles approaching frombehind.
