theroadprofileallhaveaninfluenceonthe
gear-changingcharacteristic.
Unwantedupwardshifts,e.g.beforebends,are
preventedbyswiftlyreleasingtheaccelerator
pedal.
Dependingonlateralacceleration,upwardshifts
onbendsarenotmadeuntiltheengine-speed
limitisreached.
Underbraking,anddependingontheamountof
deceleration,theTiptronicshiftsdownearlier.
Forsubsequentcornering,therightgearisen-
gagedwhenpressureisappliedtothebrakes
beforethebend.
Thebendistakenintherightgear,andwhen
youaccelerateoutofthebendyoudonothave
toshiftdown.
Drivingoff
In2ndgear,thevehicledrivesoffwiththe
throttleonlyslightlyopen.
Driveoffin1stgearwiththethrottleopen
widerorwhentheengineiscold.

Therearsidewindows
cannot
beclosedwhen
theconvertibletopisopen.
Thesidewindowsareloweredautomatically
whentheconvertibletopisclosed.Allwindows
closeautomaticallyifconvertibletopoperationis
notinterruptedwhentheconvertibletopreaches
itsfinalposition.
Iftheconvertibletopisclosedwiththekeyin
thedoorlock,thewindowsmustbeclosed
usingtherockerswitchesinthecenterconsole.

Withtherockerswitch:
-Theignitionmustbeswitchedon
(enginerunningoroff),
-theenginecompartmentlidmustbeclosed,
-thespeedmustbebelow30mph(50km/h).
Ifthismaximumspeedisexceeded,theopen-
ing/closingprocedureoftheconvertibletop
willbeinterrupted.
