GENERAL FUNCTIONS On/off
With the ignition switch in the accessories position or with the ignition on, press button Cto switch the audio
function of the RT3 audio/telephone on or off.
Note: in the absence of an ignition key, press button Cto switch the telematics system on or off.
The RT3 telephone can operate for 30 minutes without switc hing the vehicle ignition on.
Notes:
the SIM card must be removed only after the audio/telephone h as been switched off,
following automatic switching off of the audio/telepho ne after 30 minutes it is possible to make a telephone call by press
ing button D,
after the ignition has been switched off, the audio/te lephone can be switched on again by pressing buttons D, E , V or by
inserting a CD in the player.
Antitheft system
The RT3 audio/telephone is coded in such a way that it ca n operate only on your vehicle. If fitting it to another vehicle, con
sult your PEUGEOT dealer for configuration of the system.
The system is automatic and requires no action on your part.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Turn button Cclockwise to increase the volume of the audio/telephone or an ticlockwise to decrease it.
Note: the volume setting is specific to each source. It is possible to have different settings for radio, CD or CD changer.
AUDIO SETTINGS Press buttonUto access Bass,Treble , Loudness , Fader (front/rear balance), Balance (left/right balance)
and Automatic volume adjustment settings.
Exit from audio mode is automatic after a few seconds without a ny action, or by pressing button J.
Note: bass and treble settings are specific to each source. It is possibl e to have different settings for radio,
CD or CD changer.

Bass setting When"Bass" is displayed, turn button Cto vary the setting.
"–9" for minimum setting of bass
"0" for normal adjustment
"+9" for maximum setting of bass
Treble setting
When "Treble" is displayed, turn button Cto vary the setting.
"–9" for minimum treble setting
"0" for normal position
"+9" for maximum treble setting
Adjusting the loudness
This function automatically emphasises bass and treble tones whe n the volume is low.
Rotate button Cto switch the function on or off.
Setting the front/rear sound distribution (Fader)
When "Fader" is displayed:
Turn button Cclockwise to increase the volume at the front.
Turn button Canticlockwise to increase the volume at the rear.
Setting the right/left sound distribution (Balance)
When "Balance" is displayed:
Turn button Cclockwise to increase the volume on the right.
Turn button Canticlockwise to increase the volume on the left.
Automatic volume adjustment "CAV"
This function allows the volume to be adjusted automaticall y depending on the level of noise produced by the speed of the
vehicle.
Press button Cto switch the function on or off.

Inputting the PIN code Input your PIN code using the alphanumeric keypad and validate by pressing buttonGor but
ton # to access the network. Connection to the network is vali dated by the appearance of a sym
bol on the screen.
Warning: if you make three errors in succession when inputting your PIN code, your SIM card
will be blocked. To unblock it, you will need to input t he PUK code. The PUK code will be sup
plied to you by the person selling your SIM card (input of the PUK code allows for 10 errors in
succession; after this the SIM card becomes permanently unusable).
Note: the PIN code is required each time the ignition is switched o n, unless the PIN code has
been stored in the memory or protection by PIN code is not activat ed on the SIM card.
Cancelling of PIN code request
In the menu ''Telephone functions'' select''SIM card security'' , then''Process the PIN code'' , then validate the ''Cancel''
function.
Warning: in this case, do not lose your SIM card. Losing it would mean a nyone who finds it would be able to make unlimited calls.
Telephone function screens Not in use
This screen indicates the presence of voice messages or minimessages (SMS) no t lis
tened to, the cumulatve time in use since the last zero reset a nd the status of your tele
phone.
In use
This screen indicates the time elapsed since the start of the co nversation, as well as the
number* or name of the person to whom you are speaking (if recorde d in the index) and
the status of your telephone.

KUNCI KONTAK Kunci kontak dapat digunakan seca- ra terpisah untuk mengunci pintu
depan, tutup tangki bahan bakar, lacidashboard, mengaktifkan kontrolpenonaktifan kantung udara penum-pang dan menyalakan mesin. Penguncian sentral (central lock) Kunci kontak dapat digunakan untuk mengunci, men-deadlock dan mem-buka penguncian semua pintu dan
bagasi serta melipat kaca spion luar. Jika salah satu pintu atau bagasi ter- buka, sistem central lock tidak akanbekerja ; sinyal akustik akan mengin-dikasikannya saat penguncian mela-lui remote control. Remote control berfungsi sama tetapi dari jarak jauh.Remote control Mengunci

UNIT PELUMPUH KENDARAAN ELEKTRONIK Unit pelumpuh kendaraan elektronik akan mengunci sistem kontrol mesinbeberapa saat setelah kunci kontakdiputar ke OFF sehingga akan men-cegah kendaraan distarter olehorang yang tidak mempunyai kuncikontak. Kunci kontak memiliki chip elektro- nik yang mempunyai kode khusus.Saat kunci kontak diputar ke ON,kode tersebut akan dideteksi
sehingga kendaraan dapat distarter. Jika sistem tidak berfungsi, lampu
indikator tombol sistem central lock, yang terletak di bagian tengah dash-board, akan berkedip dengan cepatsaat kunci kontak diputar ke ON (diposisi kedua), yang disertai sinyalakustik dan pesan "Anti-theft devi-
ce faulty" di display multifungsi.
Dalam hal ini, kendaraan Anda tidakdapat dijalankan. Hubungi Dealer servis resmi PEU-
GEOT sesegera mungkin.

Catat dengan saksama nomor setiap kunci. Nomor ini dikodekan pada label yang dilekatkan pada kunci. Jika
kunci Anda hilang, dealer PEUGEOT Anda dapat segera menyediakan kunci penggantinya. Remote control frekuensi tinggi merupakan sebuah sistem yang sensitif ; jangan dioperasikan saat disimpan di
kantong Anda karena dapat mengakibatkan kendaraan Anda terbuka pengunciannya tanpa Anda sadari.
Remote control ini tidak akan berfungsi jika kunci kontak ada di rumah kunci kontak, bahkan saat kunci kontak diputar ke
OFF, kecuali untuk pemprograman ulang. Namun, jangan mengaktifkan sistem deadlocking jika ada orang di dalam kendaraan.
Untuk keselamatan Anda (jika anak-anak berada di dalam kendaraan), cabut kunci kontak saat Anda meninggalkan ken- daraan, meskipun hanya untuk waktu yang singkat.
Jangan operasikan tombol kunci remote control jika berada di luar jangkauan kendaraan Anda. Hal ini akan menyebab- kan remote control mengalami gangguan sehingga perlu diprogram ulang.
Jika Anda membeli kendaraan bekas :
Ð pastikan Anda mendapatkan kartu konfidensial ;
Ð mintalah Dealer resmi PEUGEOT untuk mememorisasi kode kunci kendaraan Anda guna memastikan bahwa hanya kunci tersebut yang dapat digunakan untuk menghidupkan mesin kendaraan Anda.
Jangan lakukan modifikasi apapun pada sistem pelumpuh mesin elektronik.
