4 Check air filter.

CHECK:
Visual check that the air filter is not excessively dirty or oily.

(a) Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.
(b) Switch off all the accessories.
(c) Switch off the A/C.
(d) Shift the transmission into the N position.
(e) Connect the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester to the DLC3 of the vehicle.
