Removal and Installation
Removal
Installation

1.
Remove door casing veneer panel. Refer to 76.47.12.
2. Remove door casing. Refer to 76.34.04.
3. Remove door armrest and remo ve switch/ashtray assembly
from armrest. Refer to 76.34.23.

4. Slacken and remove screws securing veneer panels to door
glass switch/ashtray assembly.
5. Remove veneer panels from switch/ashtray assembly.
1. Position veneer panel over switch/ashtray assembly and fit and
tighten securing screws.
2. Position switch/ashtray assembly on armrest and fit and
tighten the two securing screws.
3. Fit armrest to door casing. Refer to 76.34.23.
4. Fit casing to door. Refer to 76.34.04.

Exterior Trim and Ornamentation - Door Moulding
Removal and Installation

Installation

1.
Apply suitable protecti ve tape to immediately adjacent areas of
paintwork.
2. Using a hand-held heat gun, appply heat uniformly along
moulding length.
3. Applying local heat at one end and using a suitable thin lever
to avoid damaging paintwork, progressively ease moulding
away from door panel.
4. Discard moulding and remove protective tape.
5. Remove any residual adhesive and thoroughly clean area using
white spirit.
1. NOTE: Optimum adhesion is achi eved by warming body panel
and moulding to 65deg C.
Using white spirit ensure that mounting area is clean, dry and
de-greased.
2. Remove protective backing tape from moulding.
3. NOTE: Do not allow moulding to contact the body panel until it
is correctly aligned.
Heat moulding and moun ting area to 65degC.)
4. Aligning with adjacent mouldings or to match opposite side of
vehicle, press new moulding firmly onto body panel.
5. Apply hand pressure along moulding length to ensure
satisfactory adhesion.
6. Allow moulding and door panel to cool , then thoroughly clean
both using white spirit.
7. Apply a coat of suitab le polish to moulding and body panel.

Installation




8. Remove seat squab.
Lift squab clear of inertia reel assemblies withdrawing
dowels from top panel.
Carefully feed seat belt anch or plates and tongues through squab apertures.
9. Disconnect heater element harness multiplugs (if fitted) and
remove seat squab via rear passenger door.
1. Position squab in vehicle and pass seat belt tongues and
anchor plates through apertures.
2. Lift squab top roll over inertia reel assemblies, locate dowels in
panel apertures and lower and fully seat squab.
3. Fit and tighten the four squab securing screws.
4. Fit seat belt escutcheons to squab top roll.
5. Fit and fully tighten outer seat be lt lower anchor securing bolts.

6. Fit and fully tighten bolts securing centre seat belt lower
anchor plate and buckle cable.
7. Fit rear cushion. Refer to 76.70.37.
8. Fit rear head restraints.

1.
Remove casing/armrest asse mbly from door. Refer to
76.34.01.

2. Slacken and remove armres t front securing screw.

3. Position armrest for access, slacken and remove two
switchpack securing screws and remove switchpack assembly from armrest.

4. Slacken and remove screws securing veneer panel to
switchpack.
1. Position veneer panel on sw itchpack and fit and tighten
securing screws.
2. Position switchpack assembly on armrest and fit and tighten
securing screws.
3. Fit and tighten screw securing fr ont of armrest to door casing.
4. Fit casing/armrest assembly to door. Refer to 76.34.01.

1.
Remove casing/armrest asse mbly from door. Refer to
76.34.04.
2. Remove armrest from casing. Refer to 76.34.23.

3. Position armrest for access, slacken and remove two
switchpack securing screws and remove switchpack assembly from armrest.

4. Slacken and remove screws securing veneer panels to switch
and ashtray.
1. Position veneer panels on sw itch and ashtray, and fit and
tighten securing screws.
2. Position switch/ashtray assembly on armrest and fit and
tighten securing screws.
3. Fit armrest to door casing. Refer to 76.34.23.
4. Fit casing/armrest assembly to door. Refer to 76.34.04.

23. WARNING: ENSURE THAT THE AIR BAG AND
RETAINING CLIPS ARE FULLY SEATED.
Install deployment door.
Install and fully seat deployment door retaining clips in
facia.
Install and fully seat deployment door in clips.

24. Position trunk release switch/housing at facia and connect in-
car sensor to housing.

25. Connect trunk release switch multiplug to facia harness and
install in-car sensor/trunk release switch assembly to facia.
26. Install new major gauge module retaining screw inserts to
facia.
27. Install major gauge module in facia. Refer to 88.20.24.
28. Install instrument panel veneer panel. Refer to 76.47.24.
29. Reposition facia on bench wi th back facing outwards.
30. Position body processor module in facia and install securing
nuts.

Instrument Panel and Console - Instrument Panel Finish Panel
Removal and Installation
Removal
1. WARNINGS:
FOLLOWING DISCONNECTION OF THE BATTERY, A PERIOD
OF AT LEAST ONE MINUTE MUST BE ALLOWED TO ELAPSE
BEFORE ANY WORK IS CARRIED OUT ON AN AIR BAG MODULE.
IN THE EVENT OF A FAULT RUPTURING THE 10A BATTERY
SUPPLY FUSE (F4 LOCATED IN THE FUSE-BOX AT THE DRIVER'S
END OF THE FASCIA), THE FUSE MUST NOT BE RENEWED UNTIL
THE AIRBAG/SRS SYSTEM HAS BEEN DE-ACTIVATED. FUSES OF
ANY OTHER VALUE MUST NEVER BE USED, AS THIS CAN CAUSE
DISARM FAILURE.
Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from
battery terminal. Refer to 86.15.19.

2. Using a plastic lever, carefu lly release passenger airbag
deployment door from mounting cl ips, position for access and
remove and discard retaining clips.
3. Remove major gauge module veneer panel for access. Refer to
76.47.24.

4. Using a thin plastic lever, care fully release the four centre
veneer panel dowels from fascia clips.
5. Remove and discard the veneer pa nel to fascia securing clips.

Installation



1. Fit and fully seat new veneer panel securing clips to fascia.
2. Position center veneer panel on fascia, align dowels with clips
and press firmly at edges to fully seat.
3. Fit major gauge module veneer panel. Refer to 76.47.24.
4. Using new retaining clips, fit and fully seat passenger airbag
deployment door.
5. Connect ground cable to batt ery terrminal and fit battery
cover. Refer to 86.15.15.
