■Illuminated entry system
The lights automatically turn on/off according to the power swi tch mode, the
presence of the electronic key, whether the doors are locked/un locked, and
whether the doors are open/closed.
■ To prevent the 12-volt batte ry from being discharged
If the interior lights remain on when the power switch is turned off, the lights
will go off automatically after 20 minutes.
■ The interior lights may turn on automatically when
If any of the SRS airbags deploy (inflate) or in the event of a strong rear
impact, the interior lights will turn on automatically.
The interior lights will turn o ff automatically after approxima tely 20 minutes.
The interior lights can be turned off manually. However, in order to help pre-
vent further collisions, it is recommended that they be left on until safety can
be ensured.
(The interior lights may not turn on automatically depending on the force of
the impact and conditions of the collision.)

■Rapid charging function
●Portable devices, such as the fo llowing, can be rapidly charged.
• Rapid charging capable devices which conform to WPC Ver 1.2.4.
• 7.5 W charging capable iPhones (iPhone 8 and later)
● To turn the rapid charging function on, press the power supply
switch 3 times while charging is being performed. If rapid
charging is possible, the operation indicator will change from illu-
minated (orange) to alternating between (green) and (orange).
● When charging is finished, the rapid charging function will tur n
off. To perform rapid charging again, turn the rapid charging f unc-
tion back on.
■Operation indicator light status
*1: While in standby, charging power is not output. If a metal obj ect is placed
on the charging tray in this state, the object will not heat up .
*2: Depending on the portable device, the operation indicator ligh t may stay
illuminated (orange) after charging has completed.

WARNING
■When washing the vehicle
Do not apply water to the inside of the engine compartment. Doing so may
cause the electrical components, etc. to catch fire.
■ Precautions regarding the exhaust pipes
Exhaust gasses cause the exhaust pipes to become quite hot.
When washing the vehicle, be careful not to touch the pipes unt il it has
cooled sufficiently, as touching a hot exhaust pipes can cause burns.
■ Precaution regarding the rear bumper with Blind Spot Monitor (i f
equipped)
If the paint of the rear bumper is chipped or scratched, the system may mal-
function. If this occurs, avoid using the system and consult your Toyota
dealer.
NOTICE
■ To prevent paint deterioration an d corrosion on the body and compo-
nents (aluminum wheels, etc.)
● Wash the vehicle immediately in the following cases:
• After driving near the sea coast
• After driving on salted roads
• If coal tar or tree sap is present on the paint surface
• If dead insects, insect droppings or bird droppings are present on the
paint surface
• After driving in an area contaminated with soot, oily smoke, mine dust,
iron powder or chemical substances
• If the vehicle becomes heavily soiled with dust or mud
• If liquids such as benzene and gasoline are spilled on the pai nt surface
● If the paint is chipped or scratched, have it repaired immediately.
● To prevent the wheels from corroding, remove any dirt and store in a place
with low humidity when storing the wheels.
■ Cleaning the exterior lights
● Wash carefully. Do not use organic substances or scrub with a h ard brush.
This may damage the surfaces of the lights.
● Do not apply wax to the surfaces of the lights.
Wax may cause damage to the lenses.

■After a fuse is replaced
●If the lights do not turn on even after the fuse has been repla ced, a bulb may
need replacement. ( P. 476)
● If the replaced fuse blows again, have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
dealer.
■ If there is an overload in a circuit
The fuses are designed to blow, protecting the wiring harness from damage.
WARNING
■ To prevent system breakdowns and vehicle fire
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle, and possibly a fire or
injury.
● Never use a fuse of a higher amperage rating than that indicate d, or use
any other object in place of a fuse.
● Always use a genuine Toyota fuse or equivalent.
Never replace a fuse with a wire, even as a temporary fix.
● Do not modify the fuses or fuse boxes.
NOTICE
■Before replacing fuses
Have the cause of electrical overload determined and repaired b y your
Toyota dealer as soon as possible.
